A great place to spend an evening or prt of a day. Use the historical aids on the walls to guide you to the castle and help you understand it’s importance (map by tourist office). Brilliant views regardless of whether you pay to go up the tower or stay on the terrace. Cafe / bar meaning perfect for an evening drink or a midday coffee. Beautiful all round and we went back a couple of times. There was also an exhibition on which was good to see.

Only 2.5 Euros per person to enter and worth every cent. Absolutely incredible views of the lake and city

the boat trip was a relaxing time, taking us around the lake with stops at the islands. a walk along the waterline and around the historic side complemented the experience under the sun

Around the Lake Trassimeno you can visit some very spectacular medieval castles. Rocca di Passignano is not one of them because the conservation status is not good. However, after climbing the "spiral" steps, you will enjoy a wonderful landscape. From the top you will find Lake Trassimeno and the town of Passignano and you will be able to take beautiful photos.

It's a bit of a climb. I could be mean and state that charging folk €2.50 to climb some steps is a bit cheeky but I guess it's clean and it's safe, and that doesn't pay for itself. Stunning views of a lovely part of the world.

The old castle is not in the best shape considering the tourist visit, but it offers some of the best views at the Lake Trasimeno and Passignano. It is not a difficult climb, even during the hot summer day and it is worth the effort. There is also a bar with hot and cold drinks and you can see the remains of the ancient boats that were once used at the lake. Highly recommended visit!

Definitely a ‘must see’.
There are amazing views from the Rocca over Lake Trasimeno, Passignano and the surrounding countryside and so for artists and photographers it is a must. Families will really enjoy the visit too. Kids love castles and ours really enjoyed exploring.
It is a great vantage point to enjoy the sunset over Trasimeno providing that happens before closing time. Like most attractions, the Rocca is closed for a few hours during the afternoon so it’s worth checking that out .

What a lovely part of this beautiful lake. Lots of little cafes, a few shops and plenty of places to just sit and relax - all with a water view.

Group of nine on a rainy night. They opened just for us. Everything was great. But their fries are the best I ever had.

Visited for an afternoon as we were staying in the mountains nearby for a wedding. Easy to drive to as just off the motor way.
You need change to park down by the waterfront, so be aware. It is a nice walk along the waterfront with lots of cafes and restaurants lining the way.
We then drove to the marinade just outside of the centre, where parking is free. There's is a small beach with a cafe and pedaled to hire. We had a paddle in the sun and admired the view.
A nice place to visit if you want to see a normal town.

We are staying at the Villa dei tramonti.
Can't it on the map. Is there a supermarket in town

Yes, I believe we stopped at one near the town hall area, like a small Safeway.
