On strava you can see that many people have run up to the castle. From favignana but the tuna factory to the top took me 33 minute. The record is 13minutes !! Anyway. Worth the trip if you want a challenge and a lovely view...More

The full walk is quite easy and it takes no longer than 45 minutes. In alternative you can even reach half of it by bike. The view is cool and normally it is recommended to go around late afternoon to enjoy the sunset time. Unfortunately...More

The Castello is situated on top of Favignana's highest hill. During WW II,it used to be an observation post, to help the local government see enemy ships from afar. Now the Castle is deserted and the communication hardware is scattered around the building, long useless....More
