The cultural center was not open when we went but the building is very well worth a stop to admire its structure! It is huge, intricate and impressive building!! I wish we had been able to enter, though I have ready some mixed feelings reviews of the interior...

The building itself is a piece of art itself - grand and ornate. The museum on the first floor is bigger than we expected and full of well-written English history plaques (though many of the item description signs were only in Thai). Quiet and no attendants around to make you uncomfortable with stares, take your time to learn about Ubon Ratchathani's history from 15,000 years ago to the present.
