Only fjort of Turkey

Hamsilos bay is the only fjort of Turkey, very clean, enterance 3₺, exiting boat tours where you can swim for a short period, nice nature with 2km walking road. Do not enter to picnic area before hamsilos which is dirty and expensive

A Fjord of Historic Significance...

One and only fjord of historic fame, where the Turkish ship of Hamidiye hid from the "enemy" navy during the struggle for the Independence of the country. It is also one of the most beautiful natural corners of Turkey. Please drive carefully to reach the site.

We heard a lot about Hamsilos and were expecting a beautiful nature park. It is also known as Turkey’s only fjord and it is nice. However, it is littered with broken bottles, cigarette buds and rubbish. Maybe due to bayram, many people came for picknick but didn’t bother to take their rubbish. We also expected to do a bit of walking but there is only one short path. Unfortunately, for us completely overrated.

only fiord in Turkey

as someone quite familiar with geology of many parts of the world i am embarrassed to confess that i did not know any glacier landforms in Turkey. yes here it is and truly remarkable. however anyone from Nordic states should be warned that this is nothing like fiords in Norway Sweden or other states, nevertheless perfect example of the markings of the latest glaciation.

I wanted to see Hamsilos as I saw photos of it. But when I got there, I saw that there is nothing special or so attractive in Hamsilos. If you are tired and need a few minutes sit on the logs around, then you may spend one hour. Otherwise, with a 30 minutes walk, Hamsilos is done. Akliman is far more better in my opinion.

Nice place for picnic purpose

This is a nice place for picnic purpose which is direct on the sea. On summer time it is hot. Also suitable for bigger organizations.

it has breathtaking beauty, stirs that you are out of earth and somewhere in heaven
You can pick blackberry by your hand along the earth road.It is surrounded by forest where you can pick bay tree leaves or mushrooms.

Voaw incredible beatiful view of nature. It is fake fiord build by river. There are some hiking routes beside the river. No need to talk so much but photos tell everything. This is not my first visit but the season is right time to walk around at the sunny day.
