About
When the Italian culinary traditions meet the sounds of the best Arias of Italian Opera in a beautiful location and exclusive event. Much more than a cooking class, this is a multi-dimensional experience. “Opera in The Kitchen” grew out of a childhood memory spent in the open air. The smell of freshly cut herbs, a passion for traditional cooking, and a blissful atmosphere of the melodies of Italian Opera.

My wife and I stayed at Lucretia’s air bnb upstairs. We did the Opera in the kitchen our second night and just went downstairs, so convenient staying here. It was wonderful, this is a “must do” if you’re anywhere in the area. Highly highly recommend this.

Delightful afternoon and evening! Simple ingredients- that allowed 10 people to participate. Fun pasta lesson! And we all loved the meal we prepared!!
Opera singer was so much fun!

Wonderful experience with Lucrezia at her home! We made a cavatelli from scratch and took away new lessons to try at home! Loved that she showed little tricks here and there as we prepped and cooked our meals. Highly recommend this experience to everyone in the Tuscan region. We are downloading the recipe book!

we wont recommend this place at all , it was way overpriced with what they actually offered . the place which tney call it a beautiful garden was not well maintained, very dry and not clean, few plants with herbs and cherry tomatoes. the experience is for group of 10 and other people touch the food while cooking intensely without washing their hands . food was very basic ,we have not used any fresh ingredients from garden other than few mints and rosemary leaves! we have not had olive oil tasting and overall was waste of our valuable tine in Tuscany.and on the day of experience they asked for cash and saying our machine doesn’t work. Anyways it was waste of money .

Hello Regarding the price..First of all, you were in the heart of Chianti Classico region, in a Villa dates back 1600. We have our own vineyard that you have seen and our veggie garden. My family produce Extra V. Olive Oil and Wine since 3 generations and you have tasted our wines and Oil. We also have explained about that of course as we are personally the producers. Did you listen that ? I don’t know if you red some Italian news...because it’s very hot in these days, the Government said we are not allowed to use water for the garden neither to wash the cars in these days. This is an emergency status. This is why you didn’t see our veggie garden full of products and in the best status. It was clean but not reach of veggies. We have picked some tomatoes and fresh aromatic herbs. This is what the nature gave us in this moment as we have not a lot of water. Anyway we use local products from bigger producers. Our main production is for Olive oil and wine. All of our products are locals and they grow in the same Area. So you had very fresh ingredients. Than, Francesca and Lorella gave everyone cleand 100% cotton aprons and a towel each person and invited several times to wash your own hands. You all had personal towels in cotton and you washed your hands as soon as you have arrived. We were there.. we have seen that and make sure you washed your hands when you arrive. Than of course you all touch the food and if they are not so clean it's just because you are touching the food. Of course there were other people in the class. You requested not a Private experiecne and also yesterday morning, when you called me, I personally told you there were also other 5 people and total of 10 pp. You were surpised about that. I cannot understand why. We don’t like to have big groups . We served 2 bottles of the highest grown Prosecco in the world and our own Red wine that we produce in our family. I am sorry you didn’t appreciate neither the Prosecco and Red wine. Than, you didn’t mention the price includes a live Opera performance by professional soprano singer. She came just for you, for a small group of 10 people. I am sorry again you didn’t appreciate anything at all. And of course it was included in the price. I never said your card didn't work but we had a problem with our machine the day before and we kindly ask you to bring some cash in case it was not working again. You cooked handmade pasta from scratch called Cavatelli and the sauce, you cooked chicken cacciatore and the sause as well, appetizer and chocolate salami. What you were expecting? This is not a professional cooking course, this is a fun experience for all levels. I am sorry you didn't enjoy the experience.

Lucrezia and Francesca are the sweetest kindest hosts ever. We had amazing wines, cooked a delicious dinner ourselves and then were served while we were listening to the most magical opera. Highly recommend this experience. Beautiful surroundings and magnificent food!

What a beautiful, authentic experience!! First of all, the location is absolutely magical. This is what I pictured in my head when I thought of Italy!!

Secondly, Francesca was such a dear woman with a warm personality - she was patient and really loves what she does. She was attentive throughout the entire experience and really showed us the best customer service. I have to say, that she was the nicest person we met on our entire journey throughout Italy! The food was incredible - it inspired us to cook more when we get home and use fresher ingredients made from scratch.

And the opera performance just made the night unforgettable!! She was a fanatic performer and it was basically like having front row seats to a private concert and the songs brought tears to my eyes, they were so beautiful!!!

Overall, it was worth every penny and I’m so glad we included this unique experience into our travel plans while in Italy. It was truly a wonderful taste of Tuscany!!

This was so much fun! I feel fortunate to have been able to do this in person with a group of eight, including teenagers. We were guided well with grace and humor to make the dishes and then we thoroughly enjoyed eating them! The opera at the end was a beautiful end to a wonderful evening in this unique, peaceful setting. If you can do this, go!

We took an online cooking class from Canada due to the traveling restrictions. What an amazing evening. We can’t wait to take a class in person.
