This place is quiet impressive and definitely worth a visit when you are around! Due to a concert that was taking place that night, they closed the ruin a bit earlier than usual. This also meant that the abbey was filled with chairs when we...More

Definitely worth a stop for the surreal experience of a roofless structure. Go to the circular church nearby to see a real sword in the stone.

Definitely worth a stop. Massive structure over 800 years old missing a roof but otherwise in very good condition. 45 minutes is well worth it.

Well worth the drive out, very well kept abbey (only walls). The entry ticket allows entry to the museum in town, as well as the church on the hill above with the sword in the stone.

We rode vespas to the abbey for a day trip! The views were beautiful! Be sure to make the hike up to the viewing point at the top for a lovely view of the abbey and surrounding areas.

Just go, summer or winter, day or night. Visited several times and always great. Don't miss the opportunity if there's a concert or a show during the night.

As others have said, a wonderful ruin. When we were there, they stopped us from going inside as a wedding was taking place. We were told that if we wanted, we could visit the nearby chapel (Eremo di Montesiepi) that was located on a small...More
