It's a nice spot (with a bad little beach) but in five minutes you have seen it. Easy to reach from the village.

Impressive jump divers from the side and even the top of the arch. Nice beach and facilities nearby.

Located @ Westside of the island. There is little walk towards the natural bridge but several restaurants and terraces overlooking the sea so it's nice to spend some hours here. You can also swim and even jump into the water from the rocks nearby this natural bridge. Certainly worth a visit also for snorkeling.

We visited S’Archittu a few times. First of all it’a great to watch the natural white bridge (Arco) and the kids that dive off from heights that I would never dare to do. It’s also a nice place to have dinner or a drink while watching the sunset over the sea.

S'Archittu is a small coastal town on the SS292 north of Oristano. It was formerly a port established by the Carthaginians and later taken over by the Romans (Cornus). Apart from the history, the bay is very sheltered with a beautiful beach but the show stealer is the amazing arch in the cliffs to the northern end of the bay. It must be an ideal place to watch the sunset ! There are a couple of restaurants and shops but not much else. The bay is one of the prettiest places I have ever seen and is well worth a visit.

From our amazing home base in Bosa (Hotel Pischedda), we drove the approximately 1 hour south to Archittu. We had previously purchased chairs, an umbrella and beach towels from the Chinese market in Bosa, and had a cooler bag full of picnic goodies, including meat, breads, snacks and Ichnusa, all on ice purchased from the super market near our hotel.

On the drive, you'll pass through countryside with some terrific water views. The drive was simple enough.

There are two main components that attracted us: the beach with calm clear waters; and, separately the natural arch off which people jump into deep clear waters. Initially, our group of two families (4 adults, 4 kids ranging from 10-14 in age) thought we would set up at the beach, and then perhaps walk over to the arch for a picture or two and, maybe, a jump in the water if the kids were brave enough. Instead, we ended up at the arch all day and the kids jumped for hours! It was relatively stress free for us parents: there are different points from which people jump, with heights for all comfort levels. Our kids started with the lowest point, eventually working their way to the arch itself, where they jumped for at least 20 times each. The water is perfectly clear, so you can see there are no dangerous rocks underneath.

On approach, you'll come into the small town and as soon as you leave the main road, you will see public parking (free, at that). Don't park there if you're headed to the arch; instead, keep following the signs to the arch where there is a much closer parking lot. Even if you cannot park there, it's a better place to drop off everything. We ended up returning to the free parking lot we'd passed immediately upon turning off the road. You can see this all clearly on the satellite maps.

To return to the drop off point after parking, we walked along the waterfront which has a paved "boardwalk" of sorts with shops and restaurants for those who need to provision. There are also places to buy water shoes, chairs, etc. Hindsight being 20-20, I would have purchased a raft of some sort: I ended up treading water for about 2 hours taking videos of the boys cliff jumping. At the end of the boardwalk, you're back at the drop off point. From there, it is an easy walk on a well-defined pathway to the arch.

When you're on the arch side of the Archittu area, there is not much beach or sand. We collected and stacked rocks into a pillar around our umbrella so we could create some shade.

Amazing place where you can dive, little beach in front of a natural arch on the sea. You must be there during the sunset to try to see the sun trough the arch...so cool!
Go there during windy days.

Our campsite was a 4 minute drive away so this was lovely and convenient. Lovely site to see and a pretty little cove sandy beach. The flies got on our nerves and it was a walk to the loos and restaurants but definitely worth at least a view.

Restaurants nearby are very nice

We were staying in the village and it is a nice, short walk to the small bay with a view to the arch over the sea. Pretty nice sight both in the morning, when the sun lits the rocks, and at the sunset when you can expect some sunlight play with sharp contrasts and silhouettes. Recommended stop if travelling along the west coast of Sardinia.
