Mooi oude kerk en niet ver van het dorp en camping.
Makkelijk te bereiken veel mooi natuur in de omgeving.

La sua storia è interessantissima, come in un roman noir del silver screen.
Questa stupenda pieve situata sul ciglio della provinciale per Levane, apre solo la domenica alle 9 in occasione della SS Messa e perciò per poterla visitare con calma bisogna recercisi verso le 8.30 allorquando il sacrestano sistema per la funzione.
Il mistero che circonfonde la pieve è il seguente:accanto si trova una canonica (oggi pericolante e inagibile): dunque, nell'ultimo decennio del secolo scorso una gelata fuirosa fece gonfiare tutte le tubature dell'abituro e proprio quella notte il vecchio parroco che viveva nella canonica trovò la morte assiderato.
Quando avvenne il disgelo delle tubature nell'archivio della canonica, dove erano conservati tomi che attestavano la commissione delle tele e degli affreschi della volta a autori di grande rinomanza, tutta la "bilioteca" andò rovinata, nono stante lo stesso sacrestano (a quei tempi più giovane) dispose tutti i libri nella corte a asciugare al solo:ma l'inchiostro svanì.
Ordunque: nella galleria fotografica si può vedere la gloria degli affreschi e le ipotetiche attribuzioni:
la volta del presbiterio, secondo i ricordi del curato morto, dovrebbero rappresentare il ciclo del Giudizio di Erode e l'andata al calvario di un autore della Val D'Ambra, seguace di Francesco di Giorgio Martini
la tela sull'altar maggiore rappresentante il martirio di Giulitta con il papa Alessandro che la condanna al supplizio (di questa opera non è dato conoscere assolutamente l'autore)
La Vergine assunta, presumibilmente del Passignano
La Madonna in Gloria con Santi e Angeli, ascrivibile a scuola e mano di Santi di Tito...tutte opere stupende!
E' un museo ricchissimo della Val d'ambra!

Secondo me è la pieve più affascinante della Val D'mbra.
In stile neogotico ricostruita nel 1928,nella sacrestia custodisce reliquie e vestigia protoromane.
Belle tele seicentesche all'interno.Altare trionfale e fulgido

A pochi km da casa mia esiste questa Pieve. Solitamente andiamo lontano per vedere dei posti pittoreschi. Io mi stupisco tutte le volte a come sia bello vedersi avvicinare questo scorcio in ogni stagione dell’anno.

Di bello c'è che per trovarla vi basta percorrere la provinciale della Valdambra, tra Bucine e Ambra appunto e ve la trovate proprio davanti, anzi: se non state attenti c'entrate proprio dentro. Solitamente le Pievi Romaniche sono in luoghi più isolati ed è raro che l'auto non s'inpolveri per andare a scovarle.
Di brutto c'è proprio che è im mezzo alla strada, meno evocativa all'esterno di altre Pievi che devono alla loro posizione gran parte del fascino.
Comunque la vediate, fermatevi qualche minuto e visitatela, ne vale la pena.

La Pieve di San Quirico si trova a Capannole, nel Comune di Bucine, in Val d'Ambra: il primo documento che ne attesti l'esistenza risale al 1021. Nel corso dei secoli, però, l'edificio primitivo ha subito diversi restauri che ne hanno alterato la forma originaria: addirittura nel 1928 e' stata completamente riedificata. Internamente si presenta con un'unica navata, coperta da capriate lignee.

Per chi ama gli edifici religiosi antichi è una gran bellezza. Veramente da visitare, la facciata incantevole e l'interno presenta ancora pezzi di antichi affreschi ben tenuti oltre al pregievole fonte battesimale.

Antichissima la fondazione ma l'aspetto attuale è di un bel neogotico di inizio '900. Si impone per chi si trova a passare sulla strada provinciale della Valdambra appena fuori Bucine. Bella la collocazioni in verdi vallate e panorami davvero splendidi. La parte posteriore della chiesa evidenzia ancora particolari della vecchia facciata, ruotata di 180 gradi nel rifacimento. Vale almeno una sosta.
