The monastery is impressive in size and the location and surroundings are beautiful. Access is free, but the small car park is paid parking (take your entry ticket with you & pay at machine when you are about to leave). There is a restaurant come...More

This is a beautiful destination, the drive through wonderful vistas and the arrival up in the cool shaded forest to this wonderful abbey. The frescoes are magnificent. Tranquility abounds, the monks very helpful, and friendly, wine cellar adds further interest and wines are very good.

This was the most beautiful tranquil place that I have visited. The monks were chanting while we sat outside it was truly mesmerising

Its a spectacular piece of architecture and art. We stayed for Vespers and heard the monks pray in latin singing in the Gregorian tradition. What an unbelievable experience that was. Worth the visit.

This Benedictine monastery is located in a beautiful Crete are of Tuscany. The frescos are in the Cloister, and you can visit the church which is adjacent.
