We live in a coastal town, and our dive shop recommended this place. We initially established communication via email and had several correspondences, but when I asked for a confirmation (twice), I could not get one. So when we arrived in Barcelona, our concierge validated they had us booked. It is a 40 minute ride on train, straight up the beautiful coast. Had alarm clock malfunction and thought we would be late. Fortunately we were there right on time, 8am. Except the dive shop is all locked up. Early bird arrives and says, oops, we told the other large group to be here at 9, go do something for an hour. Hmmm, wished we had known that, but sure, no problem. Arrive back and it's quite busy getting gear ect and filling out paperwork for one dozen people in a small shop. (Possibly our gear could have been put together from 8 or even 830-9?). Need dive certification (we had), dive insurance (what?), and passports (in hotel). Fortunately you can buy dive insurance for a day for 8 Euro per person, so no problem there except for the first minute no one said this was an option. Regarding Passports, our driver's license had to suffice. Had we any idea we needed it during the 5 or so emails exchanged, it would have been no problem bringing it.

Gear was satisfactory, but only satisfactory. Both my and husband regulators made obnoxious noise through both dives, and it's been a while since I wore weight belt (not integrated). The large local group with us had their own gear, if they hadn't, I don't think there would've been enough for everyone.

The boat was nice, I don't know anything about it other than it seemed new, had two engines, and had shade.

The two dives we did were just okay. On the train ride I thought, the ocean is completely flat, this will be the easiest dive. It was not challenging, but the visibility was probably about 30-40 ft and second dive was 20-30 feet. Guide was good and accommodated us in English (we were the only English speakers). Saw two small eagle rays, one barracuda, one eel, pretty good fauna. Followed all safety expectations, seemed ocean conscience and patient with my husband's ears equalizing on first deeper dive.

Thoroughly enjoy our local fellow divers, get back and gear return also confusing and unorganized. Do we break everything down? Do we leave it? Where do we put it? No one instructed us whatsoever. They did however send us to awesome place for paella on the beach, Cambados, short walk from shop.

I don't know how much of my frustration was simply communication, my Spanish is quite limited. They seemed very good at speaking English, but overall communication seemed strained and we didn't feel put out, but not welcomed by the shop either.

I turned up on the off chance to get a couple of dives. My Spanish is very poor but the team made every effort to accommodate. I had my own gear with me and so the price per dive was very reasonable. The dive boat is perfect for the job.
Dive sites were typical Mediterranean and although no wrecks and the dives a little more shallow than I am used to we did find some interesting things including Moray, Barracuda and even a Sea Hare.
Many thanks to Fran and the rest of the team. Pleasant easy diving.

Excellent Diving Center, great and friendly team, easy to find (it's even possible to get there by train from Barcelona!). Mataro is also a great spot for Diving, good visibility and rich sea life!

Very negative experience. I call them to make a reservation. They call me back nicely. Explanations, offers and so on but then, when I say "I have a coupon" the girl (very politely) says: "impossible next week. Not before september". Ridiculous. I don't buy a groupon offer which expires for using it in more than month. I gave the coupon back, but this is not serious. Ok, it is august, but don't make offers if your are overbooked.

These guys are really friendly and the center has all the features. We had a nice time looking for lobsters, nudibranches and other nice sea staff.
