Exquisite truffle hunting and wine tasting
Had a wonderful morning truffle hunting with Fabio and Zara. Followed by a delicious truffle and wine tasting. Wines were excellent and Fabio and his partner were very knowledgable and showed genuine excitement to show off their wines and Tuscan culture. A must do experience.

Talking to Fabio in the bakery turned into an amazing experience. A must stop in Tuscany
Fabio took us on a very extensive olive oil program and wine tour. We learn more this trip than we had in a dozen wine tours. Lunch was very well presented and delicious. Great ambiance. Ariana made such a great lunch with perfect pairing. So much attention to details. Both Fabio and Ariana were great hosts.

    Fantastico!
We visited Semboloni in August '23 for our daughter's birthday. We tasted wine, olive oil and honey with fantastic information and insights from Fabio and his family. It's a lovely, simple, family-run business and highly recommended for a wine tasting experience in the heart of Tuscany. Thank you!

Location: In rural Tuscany about 30 minutes from Sienna, available only by car. Off of Villa del Corneto near the town of Montevarchi, Tuscany. Tel: +39 339 47 69 137 , (and whatsapp) info@semboloni.it

Service: Fabio Semboloni, the young owner and operator, is continuing the tradition built by his parents, his grandparents, and his great-grandparents. Wine tastings for Euros 30 per person include not only a personal history of his family and the organic farm, but also tastings of both honeys and wines. Organic honeys made on the farm include acacia, chestnut, clover and mixflower.

Facilities: Our recent tasting of wine and honeys was given by Fabio himself, in the room that until recently was the aging cellar for their wine. We did not tour the grounds or the new production building. The tastings of the wine includes their most popular varieties and well as some newer wines Fabio is developing from ancient native Tuscan grapes. We were provided cheeses, meats, olives and bread. The honey tastings were particularly memorable, from the light, flowery acacia to the dark, sweet-but-bitter chestnut! We learned that honey with Tuscan pecorino cheese is amazing! Fabio is a wonderful presenter, and he looks very much like the photographs of his ancestors!

Value: Most of the wines run Euros 25-35, with some as high as Euros 60. For American tourists like us this expense is balanced by his offer of free shipping to our home for a mixed case of 12 bottles. Shipping costs at other wineries are typically Euros 100-130 per case of 12 in our experience, so free shipping of a case saves almost Euros 10 per bottle. Also, with purchase of a case the tasting fee of Eur 60 for a couple is forgiven, for savings of another Euros 5 per bottle. So my advice, go for the quality, the experience, and the hand-crafted boutique organic products, and/or save by purchasing a mixed case and having it appear at your home door 10-15 days later!

Pro Tip: Wines and products from Semboloni Organic Farm are available worldwide by creating an account at www.semboloni.it. If you and your friends would like a case of 12 bottles or more, shipping through Mail Boxes Etc is no extra charge. Additional discounts are available for larger orders.

This was the last of our 3-winery tour visits that La Ferriera put together for our mixed party of 5. Weather turned stormy so the vineyards were not feasible so we got to go indoors and relax with our fellow travelers and enjoy the side dishes our guide served.

We did not get invited to go into the wine storage area and all our time was spent sitting at a large table, enjoying each other's company (which was very pleasant).

The wines were pleasant enough and we had several kinds to sample.

The grounds afforded some dramatic views of the hillside, impressing us with the natural beauty of the area.

The day was very pleasant, got to see a lot of the countryside, try a variety of wines (some good, some not to our liking), and sample some appetizers. This modest little vineyard was very Tuscan in every respect; it was just like we were guests at someone's home.

Our guide was informative, friendly, and did a great job of explaining our wine choices.

If you only get to do one thing in Tuscany then visit this farm. The tour lets you experience the living history of both olive oil and wine making. This family opens up their farm to the public but still manages to give you a very personal and warm welcome. The wines are exquisite and the food delicious. Who knew that a piece of bread with a bit of olive oil could be so divine.

Highly recommended!
Fantastic scenary and fantastic atmosphere.
We had the pleasure to visit Fabio and Virginia on the beautiful estate. Let me underline that the service was outstanding, friendly and down to earth!
We enjoyed the evo-oil and Wine tasting with coldcuts and cheese - our kids had the honey tasting. It was great as both adults and children could discuss, compare and describe what each of us tasted. We stayed there for hours.
Here’s no “Wine-snobbery”, but a straight and relaxed tasting of excellent and hand-crafted Wine, Olive oil and honey. The honesty and craftmanship shines through at Sembolini.

Sembolini has our warmest recomendation.

Did I mention that the Wine is excellent?!

We went on the tour, then stayed for tasting and lunch. The olive oil was delicious, the wine went down super quick and the kids loved the honey tasting. We even found out there are male and female branches on olive trees! Would thoroughly recommend the fantastic staff who take great care of this special place in a beautiful setting. Molto bene!🍷🫒
