Hike up the hill to the archeological museum and the Cathedral. Definitely worth it, though disregard the old lady in the church's suggestions for a cafe. The area is lovely. Have lunch at a local pizzeria, you can't really go wrong.

The old center is very beautiful. The city of white buildings. Lots of small places to eat and drink. Not near as crowded as Lecce. Nice views over the countryside.

We were here for some cooler October days and had both sun and rain. The old town part of Ostuni is a delight in both types of weather!

Definitely worth an excursion, needs a good half day to experience the winding streets , interesting buildings a the wonderful views from the ramparts. We experienced a very good restaurant there as an added bonus.
