This includes the Homestead, wooden slab kitchen, home dairy, blacksmiths, vintage machinery, our beautiful gardens plus our museum. An excellent destination for a day trip less than an hour's drive from Melbourne in the stunning Yarra Valley. 71 Wellington Rd Wandin North Our Guided Tours Our visitors can enjoy the personally guided tour of the Historic Homestead and slab kitchen, the beautiful gardens, St Mary's Chapel, Blacksmiths and vintage Machinery with one of our volunteers. After your guided tour you're welcome to browse the grounds and extensive museum collection at your leisure The Pioneer Homestead The 1880's homestead is furnished with items from the homes of descendants of the pioneer Families. The slab kitchen contains many household items of the era. PLUS we have our Blacksmiths, woodturning and Vintage machinery Our Beautiful Gardens The Mont De Lancey homestead is set in lawns graced by beautiful trees including a magnificent spreading oak. Whether it be the rich rustic colours of autumn or come spring it's blossom time, the white and pink of the flowering cherries and the purple of the lilacs make a stunning setting The Museum Take a set back in time to appreciate the family, working and social life of the pioneer families displayed in a comprehensive collection of photographs and artefacts The Art Gallery The Gallery contains a wide range of artworks ranging from Contemporary to Modern including works by artist from the Yarra Valley. The disabled parking was excellent. Wheelchair access was good but due to the hilly terrain, a power wheelchair is a must. Saw most of the exhibits - some access is tight for a wheelchair. Visited last Saturday, when there was the Working Horses and Yesteryear...More

A well hidden place to visit. Take a tour of the homestead with a relative of the original owners. Visit the museum, cafe and shop. Purchase local jams and chilli sauce which is hot and highly recommended. As a wedding venue there are options. Small...More

We visited Mont de Lancey on Mother's Day and had a beautiful special Mother's Day lunch in Monty's Cafe. The food was beautiful, home cooked roasts, salad, veggies, fresh scones with jam & cream & cakes and donuts. Very generous amounts at $25 a head....More

Visiting this area for the first time for a friends wedding. Very beautiful spot & great historical items in the buildings. Cute little chapel & well maintained gardens. Friendly staff. Would like to return here one day to take in the atmosphere of the area

We enjoyed a lovely day here, we did an organised tour with ine if the extremely knowledgeable volunteers. The old church is definitely worth a look. Highly recommended.

We got to enjoy the blacksmith special day at the historic homestead. It seemed to be busy as there was a queue for Devonshire tea.
