A fantastic place to both eat and look at all of the rare toasters, the home made cakes and chocolates are superb, and the staff very helpful, love the place.

Best in the North
Aug 2019 • Couples
We’ve been on the road for 5 weeks in the Yukon and northern BC. This was the best restaurant so far. Everything that can be homemade, is home cooked. From the jam to the bread, the salsa, baked goods - all yummy and homemade. Due to staff shortage, they’re not open for lunch. They’ll close for the winter in October or sooner, so visit them in summer. We had an omelette and hot cakes with real maple syrup. The toast was homemade 60%, with choice of 3 homemade jams. The apple butter was awesome. Coffee and tea are serve yourself unless you want a specialty coffee from the espresso machine. Great selection of teas, and teapots are available. They know all about coffe and tea here. Decor specializes in antiques, specifically coffee makers, teapots, toasters and heaters. Essentially kitchen antiques. Very nicely displayed around the room. It’s a museum and a great restaurant.

Go to Stewart, B.C., just for the breakfast
Aug 2019
Do yourself a favour and have Breakfast here (I’m sure other meals are great too). I had the veggie omelet and it was as good or better than you would find in 95% of the upper end restaurants in large cities. But, forget the food for a minute, the place is cooly funky (a good thing) and the antiques on display are worth the visit alone, I kid you not!

Cool antiques but otherwise terrible!

My husband and I went here for breakfast and expected great things based on the reviews but were very disappointed. Service was extremely slow with only one server for most or all of the tables (ten maybe). The server didn’t ask how my husband wanted his eggs and his special (salmon eggs Benedict) was not very good. I had toast and bacon. The toast was okay (didn’t really taste like homemade bread although I am sure it was) and the preserves were mediocre. I have also had better coffee from gas stations. Server never asked us how our meal was or if we needed anything.

At the end I also waited a while to pay the bill as there is only one person working both the espresso machine and the cash. Also annoyed that after she saw me waiting for a long while to pay she still wasted my time by trying to up-sell me by offering the chocolates and pastries in the display cases (especially when she should have instead asked me how our meal was but didn’t). Wish we would have gone across the street to the ‘other’ restaurant for breakfast.

Out of coffee
Jun 2019 • Couples
There was only one staff member to sever about ten tables. The coffee was self serve and urns were empty after our first cup, I brought it to her attention that they were out of coffee. Everybody was waiting and it took at least 15 minutes to get a new batch of coffee brought out.

More than just toasters...
Sep 2018 • Business
You come here to see the toasters but you are pleasantly surprised with a variety of other tea-time decorum as well.

Friendly and welcoming staff with good coffee and treats.

Great food, interesting building, and excellent service. Do not hesitate to go here. For a small spot, Stewart offers many good options - this is definitely one of them.

The best breakfast in town
Aug 2018 • Couples
We loved this place. Another reviewer used the word quirky, and it is, but in a good way. It’s filled with antique toasters and coffee pots. The best decor for breakfast!

We had both breakfast and lunch here. The food was superb and creative. I particularly liked the subtle flavors in their homemade sausage.

As for the service. It was top notch! Kudos to the team!

Lastly, I recommend you try one of their handmade Belgian chocolates. Terrific!

We will happily visit them again.
