My first visit to this cinema which I’d heard a lot about. Unfortunately 1917 was showing on the other screen while we were watching Little Women and we could hear the sound from the other film very clearly. Obviously it was a film with a lot of loud noise whereas Little Women was fairly quiet. So, overall, I was a bit disappointed with my visit.

Sorry you could hear the film in the other screen. I did play LITTLE WOMEN at a higher level than 1917 yesterday afternoon but there can be quite a large variation between dialogue and action sound so we shall try to manage this better in the future.

What a great little cinema. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the prices were super cheap....especially the special Tuesday price. Comfy seats. Access is great and love that they have their own parking area.

Weather forecast was rubbish, so had a trawl round the web and found the Lonsdale Cinema. What a great find. Saw the latest Poirot "Haunting in Venice", sat in comfort out of the rain. Friendly staff and very reasonably priced. Would recommend to all.

At last - we are back to enjoyment of movies in a local setting. This cinema has everything needed for a great film-going experience. Easy to book; first-run films; helpful staff and comfortable seating and warmth. I feel we have discovered a great entertainment venue and now that there is less risk of Covid, going out to the flicks is back. Thanks to the Lonsdale for being such a HUGE community asset.

Excellent independent cinema with a great selection of movies. Saw Fisherman’s Friends a few weeks ago. All staff were so helpful and pleasant and it was great to go to a cinema that’s not part of a big chain. Seats very comfortable and good selection of sweets, snacks etc. Highly recommend

Absolutely fantastic place. They now have 3 screens. Screen 3 is like stepping back in time. Marvelous. The owner and staff are always polite and friendly. You can keep your faceless multiplexes, this is the place to watch films.

Took my granddaughter here yesterday to see Puss In Boots and I was well impressed with everything. The cinema is small but lovely and comfy seats. Staff were friendly and helpful and overall just a lovely experience. Wouldn’t hesitate going back again.

What a friendly cinema and how great that they have their own carpark out the back. Really nice atmosphere in the little cinemas. Wonderful smells of food though we did not eat this time. Comfy seats and not too loud. Loved it. Reasonably priced.

The seats were very uncomfortable and the filth between the seats was disgusting. The staff were fine and the prices average. The toilets are miles away from the screens (up stairs). Not really worth the trip from Dumfries unless they are showing a film you really want to see.

When you are in Annan and you are stuck for something to do, then the place that I am about to review is the place for you, and that place is The Lonsdale Cinema which is located on Moat Road.

I visited the cinema last night to watch The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel which was an enjoyable film and had a good time.

Other reasons why I like The Lonsdale Cinema are :-

1. The place is clean

2. The welcome is warm

3. The selection of films is varied with the 2 screens

4. The seats are comfy

5. The staff are friendly

6. You will enjoy your visit

I would recommend this place
