We took a one-day trip to this romantic place, which was built on rocks near the sea. The coast is beautiful, we took lots of photos. In the centre there are some old historic buildings, churches, art shops, cafes etc. We liked wandering in the narrow streets in the old town. It was very nice.

We had a fantastic time at this vineyard tour! It was like walking into a film, the olive trees, the animals, the hanging tomatoes! The food that Elena served was really great and there was plenty of it, cheeses (my favourite), the chutneys they make, sundried tomatoes and so much more! Elena talked us through 5 different wines and recommended what to pair foodwise with each one. She answered our questions and spoke very clearly all with a happy and warm attitude. She was very passionate about her vineyard and showed us all around including the wine cellars.
I went with my husband on our honeymoon and we ended up chatting lots with the other guests on the tour because it was a small group all sat round a table. I searched and searched for a vineyard tour near to Monopoli where we were staying which is how i found this one and it did not disappoint. We cycled from Monopoli which probably wasn't the best idea (if you can, get a tuk tuk taxi from Polignano-A-Mare) but the last 10 minutes of the cycle was very nice.
I can't recommend this tour enough! Thank you Elena, it was the highlight of the honeymoon for me and it's the one thing i've mentioned everytime someone asks me if we had a good time away in Italy!

Don’t tell anyone but we actually had to Google who Domenico Modugno was but then quickly realised he originally sung “Volaré oh-oh, Cantaré oh-oh-oh-oh”

This charming coastline is located in the middle of Polignano a Mare. It’s an iconic place. There’s a small free beach between two magnificent rocky cliffs. This beautiful bay is perfect for relaxing. We walked down and sat on a rock and saw the crystal clear pristine sea. It was at the beginning of November but some brave tourists or locals swam in the water. It’s a must-see site in Puglia.

This ancient bridge is very popular for tourists, it’s the best photo spot in the town. We took lots of pics of the magnificent rocks and the turquoise water from the bridge and later from the spectacular beach.

Magnificent structure dominating the landscape around the tiny village of San Vito. The abbey is still in private property of La Greca family and can be visited only on Sundays during the liturgy. I do recommend the restaurant "Locanda dei Benedettini" on the ground floor of the structure.

Great store with great fresh products. We did a wine tasting of the Lipollis wines with some history and education from the lovely owners Marta and Modesto. They also gave us a run down of their farm and the olive oil producing. Awesome experience highly recommend

This simple nice church is located in the centre of the Old Town. It was built in 13th century. It’s not a must-see site but it’s worth to stop for some minutes and go inside if it’s open. (at the week-ends). Inside is nicer.

I very much enjoyed our stopover in San Vito. The seaside is very nice, and the coastline is scattered with old ruins, which makes it all the more enjoyable and picturesque.
The Abbey of San Vito is also just across the street, which is also a good sight to visit.

Very nice and central beach. But in August it is full of people and becomes very chaotic. We enjoyed this beach during the night hours, as it is well lit. It is useful to take a pair of shoes for the sea with you because there are stones under the water.

This is a small square with lots of shops, bars and cafes. It was named after the famous building: Palazzo dell’Orologio which was Town Hall in the past. There’s a clock on it and the statue of Saint Vito who is the patron saint of the town. The top of the tower was under renovation.
