About
The Castle “In Love with the Wind” is the child’s dream made true of Georgi Kostadinov Tumpalov (1956) who is its architect, designer and developer from the very beginning when in the distant 1996 he drew with a spade a big cross on the soil over which his family worked 24 hours day and night assisted by the workers from the neighbouring village of Ravadinovo and with God’s help managed to build stone by stone a magnificent castle - a dream that came true, created with much love!

- travellingbeansBristol, United Kingdom31 contributionsTake photos from the road instead…?Disney fairytale style castle and grounds, so very beautiful and well kept. Not an historic or serving castle, more of a tourist experience creation with the feeling of an abandoned or repurposed water park perhaps. The caged animals (“zoo”) were a slightly upsetting sight, but three peacocks did seem to have escaped to the lawns and not really bothered fleeing any further… we were charged full admission late September but the season had clearly already ceased - not allowed in the castle, only around the edge and into the cellars (which were beautiful). Toads galore, stone and alive ones alike. Other downsides include being told at the ticket office (and this place is in the middle of nowhere really…) that they only take cash - luckily had just enough to scrape in but absolutely nothing more on us. Then ushered into the seemingly compulsory photo experience despite protesting and plainly telling them we have no money to buy them anyway. Then on the way out of the castle, we were chased up the road (“oi lady”) and forced to look at the magnet and photo ‘frame’ and have more respect for him as the photographer. It took three attempts to get him to leave us alone by explaining we don’t have any cash. Seemingly they now were suggesting card payment as an option… the multiple attempts here were not a language barrier; his English was fine, he was just being an overly aggressive and ironically disrespectful salesman. P.S. you have to pay for the toilets here tooVisited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 21 September 2023
- Jacek KowalskiKomorniki, Poland33 contributionsWorth visiting. You will love the beauty of the garden. We spent like 3 hours inside and it is worth the price. They need to work on the parking slot. Also the castle was closed - only visiting of the garden was possible. The Knight giving photos is a nice guy.Visited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten 11 July 2024
- marina71 contributionsNice but not enough explicationsA nice castle with a beautiful parc but relatively expensive and they don't tell you that you will have to pay more if you want to see some interesting parts of the castle ! We paid to see the film about this place, it was supposed to be the story of the building but it was only telling some abstract phrases about dreams that come true. They also have a zoo and animals look ok but their drinking water was dirty and green, and there was a hurt bird in a very poor state....Visited August 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 21 August 2024
- Dima CTel Aviv, Israel329 contributionsThe unbelievable turns to be the reality! The owner of Ravadinovo Castle is some kind of Wizard! The contemporary complex which takes you deep to the Middle Ages. yep the critics are right, the place is trying to make you paying extras inside. But most of the proposed stuff worth it! We assertively avoided two unpleasant guys at the entrance trying to convince you to make a photo with one of them ("A King"), and then to make you pay for it. But willingly visited the internal exposition presenting the process of comstruction of Ravadinovo Castle, and the future plans.Visited August 2024Travelled with familyWritten 24 August 2024

This is like an experiment of how many random things you can put together to create something very weird with no actual personality. You have religious, gothic, knights, fake grottos, animals, fantasy, horror, Greek styles. If you try to interpret what you see in an artistic manner, you get brain error. You need to look at the sea afterwards to recover. The natural garden is nice. Everything else is made from apparently cheap materials and looks totally kitsch. You can see a horse armour on top of a building and under it there is a plastic chair. The place is a money factory, 10 euros to get in and then you can spend money on countless other ways, so bee careful. Not sure yet if it was good or bad decision, probably helpful to see something like this. Hope not to get coronavirus as it looked like a cult of non-believers, no masks for visitors, no masks for staff, no disinfectant, crowds, lots of touching.

If you want to pay a great amount of money to visit something with no style, to quote : " owners imagination" this is the place to be. Plus, bonus you can pay to see best copy of Tutankhamun’s golden treasure. Still great garden, very well kept

The castle was a dream of a bulgarian businessmen and he start building it like he dreamed. Today it is one of the main attractions on the bulgarian Black sea coast. If you are in Sozopol, Primorsko or other towns in proximity maje yourselves a treat and visit it.

Nice castle to visit, we went on a daily trip to visit the castle but we could visit only the gardens because there wasn't any electricity. We couldn't go inside or having a break at the café. The gardens are nice, lovely pictures around

Save your time and your money. This place could be very nice, but it is not. The staff does not care for the property. It is dirty and needs a good cleaning. More gardeners are needed to care for the plants. The water is gross, green, and very dirty. We just left there, and none of the fountains are working. The poor animals are kept in deplorable conditions. All in all, it is a severe disappointment.

Как добраться в замок из Созополя?
Written 2 September 2017

Yes, there are almost no stairs and its a flat terrain. I saw disabled tourists last time I was there and I didnt notice them to have any problems navigating.

Hi there, can you tell me what is the distance from Sozopol to the castle and how to get there?
Thank you so much.
