Lovely day out with the kids being able to walk along the castle grounds and the high street filled with little old sweet shops and boutiques.

Unfortunately the castle is closed for building works. However it doesn't really matter as you can still explore it's gardens and exterior. Amazing building!

As others have said: yes, looks as if it will be open. Just a thought if you haven't visited before: the high walkways, which are open to the sky, are bound to be wet and windy, so be sure to dress accordingly and wear... More
