This is a very interesting museum and like most it’s free entry. You can easily spend a couple of hours or more in here. If you are in Rochester, going to the castle and this museum is well worth it.

Something for all ages in this beautiful building. Also a fascinating recreation of a 'prison' ship. Heartily recommend for art, wonderful sculptures and excellent 'hands on' for children too. FREE with excellent and helpful staff on hand. Ask away!

The new exhibits are great quality - especially loved the Knight's Templar one, really immersive. Loved the way the info is presented, could have had a bit more detail about the healing side of the Templar and their links with St Johns Ambulance etc. Also...More

It’s a nice museum to spend a couple of hours wandering around, when you have finished you have other historical places to visit if on a day visit

When we went, only part of the museum was open, due to staff shortages. So we did not get to see the exhibit about Dickens, which is a shame considering the relationship Dickens had with this town. However, the part that was still open, is...More
