This was the first fortress we visited in Tuscany. amazing vistas. Easy to park and walk to. We used the Rick Steves 2016 guide to get around.

This is a neat place to walk around after seeing the town. There's not much inside but the building itself is impressive.

You enter through the wine bar at the fortress. Nice views but would be nice if they had some history written up or artifacts displayed

There is so much to see in Montalcino beyond the castle and fortress. The architecture is original and views from the walls just amazing! Take a bit of time to wander around and soak up the atmosphere.
