Easy way of seeing the small town of Ille Rousse and visiting the lighthouse on the rock without the need to walk the steep path to the top. The train stops for 15 minutes at the top, time to take photos and admire the view before returning to the town square.

Absolutely outrageous service. The timetable of the service is clearly written, and we came with two kids accordingly shortly before 6pm, building our whole day on this programme. The driver was already sitting there playing on his phone, telling us nothing. We sat in one of the coaches waiting 10 mins for the departure time. After 6pm passed with some mins, the driver was still sitting and playing on his phone. We asked why he is not departing. He said that for only 2 adults and 2 kids he is not gonna start the train. I say I would understand this, if it is either written clearly out, but the minimum is that the driver is coming to let us know. We were sitting like there in the heat like stupids, and left extremely disappointed. Very unfriendly and incorrect service.…

We really enjoyed the little train ride - yes it's simple, but it was good fun, and we were so glad to have gone up to the lighthouse as the view of L'ile Rousse was wonderful from there. Husband found the narrow road / closeness to the cliff a bit scary though! It's not a history tour, you don't learn much, but we enjoyed it none the less.…

50min train tour, 7,00 Euro pp. Often found that we passed the monument before it was described. Not really that interesting. Stopped off after about 15mins to look at a monument of Napoleon.

Great little experience with good views. Those with vertigo should be aware that when travelling up to the lighthouse on this petit train, some very steep inclines with sheer drops are involved. Takes about an hour, cost 7 Euros per person.
