Pleasant walk other than the rats and dog poo
Sep 2020
This place is overrun with rats and the footpaths have lots of dog poo. A few years ago this place was beautiful i used to walk around the lake regularly

Gem of a Walk
Jul 2020 • Solo
This free walk is packed full of scenery and the walk can be as long or short as you want. There’s plenty of benches to rest and little hidden gems to find. Tonnes of ducks!

What a gem
Jul 2019 • Couples
Lovely park to visit, free parking at site, level path around the lake, far end had some sort of canal leaving it but no info board as to why, lovely place to explore, dogs had free run and loved it.Lots of water birds mind so be careful with dogs, nice family os swans with cygnets when we visited.

Pleasant Walk
Oct 2018 • Couples
This a great place for a walk, it has a tarmac path right around the lake. There is a good selection of bird life to see. Either a quite place to walk the dogs and, or a good walk with children. There picnic tables at a couple of points close to the car park .

Rats
Aug 2018 • Family
Stayed at the caravan park just up the road and you drive by this place on the way in.
Went for a walk with my baby one day to walk around this pond, took her in the push chair, well went through the entrance which was just off the road saw five six rats running around so turned around and went right back out again.
Would not recommend this to anyone, spoke to a guy who was just going in with his dog, told him about the rats and he just laughed ans said been like that for years.......

We did a few runs round the pond during our stay at the caravan park nearby.
Pleasantly surprised by the views and wildlife.
Worth a walk round when n the area.

Lovely place to visit anytime of year
Jun 2018 • Friends
I frequently take our cocker spaniel for his walk around the Brickfield Pond. There is always something interesting to see. At the moment there are cygnets, goslings, ducklings etc., The whole place is slowly being improved - I believe by the Fishermen Association - thereby allowing viewing right across the pond. Would recommend a walk round.

Short dog walk
May 2018 • Couples
After parking in front of the college we walked back to a gate to take a walk around the pond. It was quiet and there is a proper tarmac path round making it good for any weather. Also great for wheelchair access and met a lady of a scooter walking her dog. It's only a short walk all round taking around 20 minutes strolling but great for the dog to sniff and be away from the road. There is a car park but we missed it and only came upon it during our walk. The area around isn't pretty and it's a bit of a palaver to find.

Lovely walk and great place to feed the ducks
Dec 2017 • Couples
You might struggle to find this hidden gem, but it is a lovely place to walk around with lots of benches to sit and feed the ducks and swans, the only issues are that, 1 It has a lot of litter, 2 It has a lot of dog poo and 3, Dog walkers let their dogs run loose around the place which is really annoying, but on a nice day it's a lovely walk around the pond
