We bought the ticket the day before because we had limited time to visit the park. When we arrived in the morning they told us that we would only be able to go on the Safari 3 hours after arriving, information that was nowhere to be found and that we were unaware of, there we entertained ourselves for 3 hours with small children who were already sleepy. We were the first to arrive at the Safari queue because my son really wanted to go ahead, when we arrived the guide asked to see the purchase receipt which they gave us when we picked up the tickets, we didn't know about it, we had already entered the park and presented the tickets We only had with us the tickets and a piece of paper with the map and the timetable of our Safari, he insisted to us that he wanted the paper, I said that we didn't have it and they hadn't warned us anything about keeping any paper to present at the entrance to the Safari, no He believed in us, he suggested that the rest of the line go ahead of us while we looked for the role… I didn't make it clear! She was rude the whole trip, sending messages about “bad people”, in the end I said “thank you, good afternoon” she didn't respond… in short, lack of professionalism and maturity… we didn't go back, it wasn't worth the price or the trip.

Great experience, we bought the tickets online and it went well, in terms of parking it seemed okay, but we went on a weekday so if it's a weekend parking will be more chaotic. The park is very well organized, the 3 shows are scheduled so that you can watch them all! You can see an immense amount of affection from the staff for the animals they are caring for. The highlight is the safari where you can see the animals in a more natural habitat. What I liked least was the primate island, it didn't seem to get the same attention as the other spaces, but it was in perfect condition, despite being in a more remote location. In terms of food, they have a restaurant but of course there is a huge queue at meal time, in the picnic area there is also a snack bar that sells pizzas, but it is always pleasant to take food and have a snack at the tables in the park. They have toilets in 2 different locations but there were never many queues. Another positive point is being able to leave the park to go to the car to get things whenever we want. In general, I loved it, I'd rather spend more KMS and go to Badoca than the zoo, it's a day well spent, I hope to go back.

Miserable service, to say the least. We were prevented from entering because the park (which closed at 6:30 pm) did not accept us at 4:40 pm to go on the Safari (an experience that takes 45 minutes). The last Safari departure is not mentioned on the website, having been told via phone that we could attend until closing time, with Safaris running until closing. They did not respond to the refund request and did not offer a solution, even calling the authorities (for no reason, as we did not request it and at no time were we unpleasant or rude). I will not return and I will advise you not to do the same if you do not want to be deceived.

I recommend buying tickets first thing in the morning for the safari, as the waiting time for your 'carriage' (it has scheduled times) can be long. They should have rafting open all day and not just from 2.30 pm, as those who go in the morning end up not taking advantage of it. The safari is good, although you should opt for a non-polluting vehicle, since those who go behind in the carriages are left with dust and pollution from the tractors that pull the safari. Despite this, the experience was very pleasant, the guide was very cheerful and funny. Seeing giraffes and zebras (among other animals) up close is a unique experience.

The size of the tiger enclosure is much too small for the 21st century. A safari park gives people hope that animals have more space than in a zoo. Not the tigers at Badoca. Same for the primates. It's heartbreaking and should be priority no. 1

Of course the tickets are not cheap (19.90 euros/person) but the park is nice to see.
It's located in the middle of nowhere and even if you buy your tickets online, you have to go through the ticket office before entering.
There are times for everything (presentation of reptiles/volatiles, group safari, interaction with lemurs, etc.)
When you arrive, they will inform you of these times.
At the entrance, they take a photo of you next to a plastic giraffe and then sell you 10 euros per photo. Business…
The group safari is included in the ticket price, it is in fact a tractor with several wagons which takes you among the animals. The guide was super friendly and explained things well. Duration approximately 40 minutes. Expect to see only herbivores. No felines.
Then you can manage the walking tour as you want, there is shade, places to picnic and restaurants.
The primate island is big, but they are super far from you and therefore difficult to see them. Too bad but it’s the same everywhere.
We paid extra (15 euros/person) to interact with the lemurs, so yes it's expensive but it's worth it, because for about 20 minutes, you find yourself in a small group with the lemurs all around you and on you, a great experience for those who love animals.
Same, it's not possible to take photos ourselves, the photographer is there to do it and sell you the photos for 10 euros each.
On the other hand, they only speak in Portuguese during the safari.

We decided to go to the badoca, although we were quite skeptical about the treatment of animals.
We can say it's worth it. Although the park needs some adjustments, respect and conservation of each species is taken into account.
We would like to highlight the professionalism of Gonçalo, with whom we made a private tour (meeting with the giraffes). Thank you, Gonçalo.
We really like the demonstration of birds and reptiles, especially the professionals who did them. Explanation, respect for species... All amazing.
Congratulations on your work.

Bathrooms with lack of cleaning maintenance.
Team care of reptiles extremely antipathetic and without any training to deal with children. Except for the reception at the entrance and the lady who makes the presentation of the show of the lemurs who were nice.
The animals seem to be well taken care of

Safari experience was spectacular as well as all the shows with the animals that are very well treated and the clean spaces. The tractor takes us very close to the animals and we almost feel like we were transported to Africa!
However, Badoca Park is not prepared to receive so many visitors on Children’s Day. I was in line 35 minutes to buy ice cream. There is a shortage of shadow tables to make a picnic and the queue for lunch in the restaurants had more than 100 people.
It was quite hot (30 degrees) and the path to the primates has very few shadows, no water point or zone to buy water.
For those who carry a baby cart or wheelchair it is a real test of effort because the paths are all grounded.
It's a very good day but I won't come back with so much heat or so many people. The kids loved it despite the heat. It helped us take some sprayers and play with the water to refresh. Bring home food, hats and sunscreen.

Run away!!!!
I never plan on returning. How can you????? People, the animals live surrounded by an electric fence. The monkeys live far alone and are visibly sad. What a regret to have entered there. I came home disappointed, sad with myself. I don't want my son to remember today and never want to go back. My God, how sad it was to see those animals. Do people still comment that it was a wonderful day???? What's wonderful about that? Suffering was what I saw….😭😭😭😭

Olá. Quanto tempo é aconselhável passar no parque? Quanto tempo demora o safari?

Obrigada.

Muchas gracias
