An unexpected delight on the edge of Modica alta. Recently restored the doorway and cloisters are well worth visiting. Interesting information in booklet and from woman at ticket desk.

Really fantastic old monastery and in the near past it was used as a prison. The nearby town is also lovely with its steep and narrow streets.

It was a pleasure to visit this church and ajoining cloisters. It is 15 century and was one of the buildings to survive the earthquake.
