I don't like Baroque architecture and we went in just to keep out of the rain but found the astronomical information very interesting.

We stopped at this cathedral on our Fiat tour of the city. It is filled with wonderful paintings especially a beautiful painting of Christ. It also has five naves that are richly embellished and a great organ.

So nice this place. It dominates the town of Modica. Nice is the park down below. The style of the church is amazingly. To go in is more interesting.

We struggledup all the stepsto this church but it was worth it. Staggeringly beautiful baroque decoration not as heavy as in Spain. The frontage and tower are stupendous . It has a strange year long kind of sundial calendar which is most unusual

The church itself is stunning, as were the views as we walked there from the center of town. Definitely worth a visit!
