While touring the Seaweed Factory in Paje, we had the opportunity to visit this most beautiful beach. Incredibly warm water, plus the whitest, powdery sand imaginable made this a great way to finish our visit to Zanzibar. The Masai people are trying to sell you...More

Great beach with white powdery sand and warm sea. You can walk out in sea for a few hundred yards and only be waist high depending on tide. Felt very safe and lots of things going on. Only drawback is they allow motorbikes to be...More

This is a very beautiful and picturesque beach. The only downside which is actually quite a big downfall for me personally is the fact that you cannot just take a peaceful stroll along this beautiful stretch of beach without being interruped every 5 minutes with...More

The beach is beautiful in Paje as pretty much everywhere in Zbar. However, the beach hustle can be quite annoying and at some properties security was placed to reduce the annoyance of being talked to every 2 min. Paje is great for kite surfing and...More

Paje Beach is my favorite destination on Zanzibar as it balances both peace and fun. The northern beaches tend to be overcrowded and Jambiani, south from Paje, is a bit too resort-filled. Paje attracts a mostly youthful crowd ready for kite surfing in the day...More

When you compare to others around, this one is really clean and well maintained. You can find plenty of restaurants, bars and coffee shops. Low tide allows to take a long walks into the sea, during early afternoon.

Amazing, such a beautiful beach and sand so clear and white, so nice in law and high tide, the colors of the sea is unbelivible

The views during the low tide are stunning with very little seaweeds and almost no urchins unlike other beaches on east coast. At high tide (early in the afternoon), it's always windy and the sea is not so appealing for swimming.

Crystal is good but also Arabian Knights. There are many options within your range. Depending on arrival date you could book a night somewhere and then explore alternatives?

Lots of beach bars on Paje with hotels to suit all budgets from luxury to backpacker hostel. Luxury hotels around the Kite Surfing Paradise site with bars and budget hotels both north and south within a 400m walk.

OK, there is one store with basic supplies and liquor store an green market in village which you pass through on way from beach to stores. No ice, and it is better that way. Avoid ice or any form of non bottled water.
