Views are gorgeous, of course. You are walking/running next to all the fancy resorts in the area. There is plenty of parking nearby if you arrive early enough. Our run out was fabulous, but by the way back it was quite crowded. This isn't really the best place to push double-strollers or walk three people side-by-side. It is single-file as there are people going both directions (although some folks seemed oblivious to this fact). If you are a serious runner, adjust your expectations to a gentle jog through this portion & enjoy the scenery. Some truly excellent people-watching here as well.

We love the beach path as a way of just walking off some breakfast or dinner, or just to look out at the ocean at sunset. Terrific views, well maintained, and loaded with a mix of adults, families, kids, and more...

We parked at the Polo Beach Park and headed up the path near the Fairmont Kea Lani. The sidewalk is narrower there soon afterward going by private property. Views are beautiful in the morning with different activity across resorts. Went all the way to the Andaz and back, and it’s a nice way to get steps in. Recommend to also take the same walk in the evening for different colorings in the sky, and different activities at the hotels.

My wife and I walked from the andaz beach to polo beach. It was beautiful and the people on the path are friendly. On the side area, you see a chess board so kids can play with it.

Very enjoyable walk along the Wailea Beach with wonderful views. In some places the hedges are a little to high to see the breaching whales or a little overgrown to accommodate the many people that take this path.

Always a great morning walk, the earlier the better! There are walkers and joggers heading both directions and unfortunately sometimes double strollers which are sometimes impossible to get around. View of the ocean and beaches is always awesome and seeing the stunning resorts and condo resorts with beautiful amenities and landscaping is impressive and inspiring. Love seeing the occasional cat lounging on the resorts' lounge chairs early in morning. Park early at Ulua Beach parking, head toward water, turn left after bathroom building.

We enjoy walking on this path. It is paved so it is a good walking surface. It is picturesque. At least a couple of the resorts have restaurants/bars open to the public that can be accessed from the path.

Great path to walk or run or just simply take in the spectacular ocean views. It can get a bit crowded in the early mornings with other people exercising, but normally tapers of mid morning.
The sunset views here are also amazing:)

We are staying at the Wailea Marriott. I love to walk in the sand on the edge of the beach. Is this a possibility? If so, how long is the beach walking area?

To walk along the beach at waters edge is difficult due to the areas of lava rock that you are unable to get by. If you stay on the path (which runs along the beach, the path is a little over a mile). It runs along the back of the hotels starting at the Andaz and continues along all the hotels. You can get down to the beach at various points along the path.
Hope this helps!

It's paved from the south end of Wailea to the Andaz Resort, about 3 miles I believe. After Andaz you have to walk on the beach.

Yes, the path is all along the ocean side of the hotel. The path runs about 1.5 miles to the south, and maybe about 1 mile to the north when starting from the Marriott. Going south you'll pass a number of other resorts (Four Seasons, etc.) with some nice restaurants. You'll also pass a number of beaches (Wailea Beach, Polo Beach, etc.). North will bring you by some vacation condo resorts, and more nice beaches ... but not much in the way of restaurants.
BTW, while walking along the path ... fix your eyes on the ocean, especially in the morning ... you may catch a glimpse of humpback whales as they migrate in the channel between the islands.

You drive past Wailea mall parking and take a right to the next side street and there's free parking for the beach and it's right there. If you have a smartphone and put this address in it should take you there- 3850 Wailea Alanui Dr Kihei

is this the same as the beach path rated as the #10 thing to do in Wialea? If so, is it #10 or #4 lol?

I'm not sure of the rating, but it is a very nice stroll. We walked it every day, especially from the 4 Seasons to the shops at Wailea to get a sandwich at Whaler's Market and a coffee at Starbucks.
