We’ve spent in Almunecar 5 days, trying to view the main places of interest of the city and in my personal rating, it’s the most interesting historical landmark in the area. If not wrong, it openes at 10-13.00, after 18.00-21.00. We went here after 20...More

Just 2.35€ to enter...about 1 hour to visit. Well worth the time although a bit empty inside. Great views. Also includes visit to nearby archeological museum. They should really put a bit of effort into maintenance. The glass in the museum displays was very dirty.

Only 2 euros for entrance to this and the museum of seven caves just down the road. Excellent views from the ramparts, good signage in English, and a good short video which is well worth watching.

We really liked this lovely little castle. You get great views from the top of Almunecar and the beach and sea below you. You can see the Sierra Nevada in the distance, snow capped on our visit. The Castle is an easy enough walk from...More

A steep walk to the top but not too difficult. So much to learn about the history of the town and the castle. The view is spectacular.
