Frederick II built 200 of these castles in Puglia. This one is interesting because of its location right on the sea. It has an interesting av presentation in many languages and some great archaeological exhibits. The castle in Bari is more interesting and of course...More

A magnificently restored castle. The rooms are empty, though there is usually a temporary exhibition on the premises. It was a Brian Eno music and light show in 2017. The overall impression is of a very worthwhile project that will appeal primarily to lovers of...More

The castle is big and beautiful form outside. Inside is empty. You walk through the empty rooms. There is nothing to see beside the sea.

This very large and imposing building is empty of everything other than a few signs of explanation in English. When we visited it also had an exhibition of modern art which seemed completely out of place. Not really worth the entrance fee

You can walk on the different parts of this castle, with an amazing view to the sea. It's a bit windy up there but its worth.

The castle is in pretty good conditions and it has some interesting architectural elements. It would be nice though to have some exhibits in the large empty rooms.

The castle looks interesting from the outside but inside it is a different story. Lots of empty rooms with the occasional nice view of the sea. For many years it was a prison and hopefully in the future it will be an attraction worth visiting....More

The castle has been renovated and is beautiful from the outside. It is located on the sea and close to the Cathedral. Not much to see inside and it is currently a woman's prison. A gem built by Frederick II.

Unique location castle by the sea. Medieval structure, historical and cultural treasure of Trani. Extremely helpful woman at the ticket office also happens to give amazing suggestions for books and cultural events in the proximity area.
