A wonderful, beautiful, huge garden. Visiting in April there were not a lot of flowers yet, I suspect it will be breathtaking later

If it wasn't so hilariously awful it would have been horrible. We were hurried onto the most bizarre vehicle, some giant safari like bus with obscured sides and a very non-transparent plastic covering on it! It is no exaggeration to say noone could see anything!...More

We did this tour in the end of november. They put you inside a bus which has plastics(to protect you from the cold) instead of windows which blocks your view(they are not transparent at all) and you need to stay inside the bus throughout the...More

These are the papal gardens behind the high walls that surround Castel Gandolfo. The tour is informative, and the scenery lovely. Book in advance as places are limited, and this is the reason why everyone comes to this town.

The train/bus takes the strain as the tour winds through the formal gardens, past fountains, summer house, excavations, olive groves and vineyard where the Vatican is supplied with sacrament wine and olive oil. A restful way to pass an hour and not be walking!

When visiting the gardens, your are driven around in a minibus for a tour of about 50 minutes. Nothing really exceptional in these gardens and absolutely not worth the 20 Euro's. Spend your money on villa d'este in Tivoli : cheaper and much more impressive.

We did the guided walk tour of 2 hours and enjoyed every minute of it. The garden is very beautiful and our guide was very knowledgeable. We just went to the entrance of Castello gandolfo and bought the tickets there without reservation. The next tour...More

It's worth a trip out from Rome to visit these gardens however it would be a lot nicer if they would let you walk around the gardens and enjoy things up close. I'm assuming they won't let you off the bus because they think you're...More

All I can say is "wow". This place was beautiful. In my opinion, this blows the Vatican gardens away. Everything was well maintained, and the views were amazing. They said that on a clear day you can see all the way to the sea.
