Don't walk past, go in! This is a lovely church in the square of Castel Gandolfo, designed by Bernini in high Baroque style. There is a wonderful dome and architectural features.

This is a lovely church in the heart of Castel Gandolfo, designed by Bernini. Take the time and go inside. Even though it is not large, it is beautiful!

Interesting interior having 3 sides dedicated to 3 separate artists. Some old artefacts and paintings so a good place to spend a few minutes inside.

If you're pressed for time you can avoid the small church. It's nice to go into because there's not much to do while you're waiting for the opening of the pontifical residence, but it's nothing memorable.

When you get to Castel Gandolfo, go inside this church. The altar and walls are covered with gorgeous paintings (frescoes?) This is a small but magnificent church!

Only a 40 minute drive from the heart of Rome above gorgeous Lake Albano this small church is beautiful. Although the current Pontiff does not vacation here Pope Benedict XVI would conduct Mass here which must have been amazing.
