Seems like all items here are made locally, as opposed to a lot of the mass tourism shops in Reykjavik. They have everything from wood sculpture to pottery to wool products to home goods and books, pretty much anything you would want to get as a souvenir you can find here.

This shop was pointed out to us by one of our Icelandic tour guides, who enthused about the healing properties of a locally-made herbal ointment he buys there. But although we spent a week at the nearby Midgard Hostel, we were always away on an adventure when the store was open. Thankfully we had an opportunity to stop there on our last day, on our way back to Reykjavik. We were glad we did.

As others have described, the store offers a wide selection of products, displayed in a pleasing, well-lit setting. I found what was for me the perfect souvenir/gift – arctic sea salt flavored with a variety of herbs. (I particularly like the one flavored with angelica.)
And, as I was happy to learn, the prices were better than similar items seen in Reykjavik shops.

If you are interested in the healing ointment the guide recommended, it is Joklamus, made in nearby Hella. I bought some of that too, but haven’t tried it yet.

The store is inconspicuous, tucked back from the road and if you are approaching from the East may be partially hidden by the supermarket in front (which I suspect was constructed after the photograph posted here was taken). It's worth the effort to look for it.

Thank you kindly for your review. We are so happy that you liked our shop! It's true that we're kind of hidden from the main road but if looked for we can be spotted in our bright red barrack behind Krónan supermarket. But also soon we are having billboards made to put out on the main road for our customers to find us more easily :) Dear Laurie we welcome you back on your next Iceland trip!

Found this store on trip advisor and decided to make a stop at it after our south coast drive. Purchased some unique items that I haven’t seen yet anywhere to remind me of the trip. Staff was also very friendly.

We dropped into Una when we were lost. The lady there googled directions for us, contacted our accom and got us back on track. Excellent service. The shop has a great range of quality local products and is certainly worth a visit.

While staying at the Hotel Ranga we stopped to check out this business since it touted marketing local crafts/handmade items. I’m so happy we did.

I struck up a conversation with Rebecca (sp?) who turned out to own the store with her husband. She grew up in the town. She helped me choose a lovely Icelandic wool blanket (as my own souvenir❤️) as well as some other high quality gifts for friends back in Ohio. The selection is great, I walked around a few times in order to make my decisions.
Rebecca was knowledgable and very friendly. I could have stayed and chatted if I had had more time.

Thank you, Rebecca, I will remember you when I use my blanket back home.

This is the SPOT! Local, authentic Icelandic goods and gifts. We drove by and quickly turned around so we could take a look, and I’m so happy we did. I ended up buying things for my whole family (and quite a few for myself). I bought a gorgeous hat made by a local, an art piece made by a local, and chatted with the owner who is incredibly nice! She owns it with her husband and has filled the shop with amazing products. This is a must stop!!!

When my daughter and I came in here we were pleasantly surprised. We found many home made Icelandic items including sweaters, hats, scarves, mittens, all sort of baby items, jewelry, ornaments, pottery and art work. They had the nicest selection of gifts in a wide range of prices. The staff was helpful and courteous. We would come back in a heartbeat.

This little shop is super cute and eclectic. There are a variety of products that I haven’t seen in other local gift shops, so I ended up finding something for literally all of my family members. The owner is so sweet and helpful. I highly recommend it!
