We love hitting the market while in town but oh my gosh, the crowds. Be prepared for shuffling of feet.

I love going to pike place! So much stuff to look at and buy. And just walk around enjoying the street vendors and the food and music. Will be back again soon

There are lots of things to see at the market. Some street performers too. Lots of food products, produce, flowers, handmade items, jewellery etc. There's something for everyone. Highly recommend the ice-cream made by Seattle farmers.

So, Pike Place (not Pike's Place) is a Farmer's Market. It open in 1907 and over looks the Elliot Bay. I wouldn't say you'd miss much by not going here but I would say it is Seattle culture and it's across the street from Pier...More

So, it's obviously a touristic venue, but the sight of the flower stands is definitely worth it. Utterly beautiful.

The busiest time of year is probably June-August since it is a active and colorful destination for summer travelers. Christmas is a good time too but cold, and rainy.
