Neighbourhood: French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.

The workers here are unfortunately rude. You are "greeted" with someone shouting "No pictures" as you walk in. There was no please attached to the request, nor any other statement of "welcome" accompanied it.

A book interested me. As I reached out to touch it, a worker yelled at me to not touch altar items. I didn't realize it was an offering, and I did not mean disrespect. I had made a mistake, and instead of an emotionally mature lesson on voodoo practices and altar offerings, the worker proceeded to yell at me. It felt like an act of public shaming.

I am a travel writer. I will keep searching for a shop that respects its customers to recommend to my readers. This shop does not. In disrespecting its customers, this shop also disrespects the memory of Marie Laveau.

If you want gifts for your friends, family, and self that are unique to the culture of New Orleans this is the place to go. In the heart of the French Quarter you will see the entertaining music of New Orleans on your way to get postcards, T shirts, necklaces, and candles here. History tour meet up spots are all around here, and so you can see a tour for an extra fun afternoon.

Miss it being in the old location. While it's now on Bourbon and closer to everything it's just much smaller. Doesn't have the same feel at all.

This place is great. I loved how everything was curated with intention and you knew exactly where everything was from and it’s intention/purpose. Bella checked me out and she was such a pure soul. She gave wonderful attention!

I never been in New Orleans but my sister had a short trip to your store. She brought home an interesting doll and I would like to have one. Can I order online?

Interesting place although they don’t appear to allow photos. It’s on the smaller side and quite busy but neat things inside!

Not really sure what I was expecting but the store was small and really over crowed. They had a security guard present so not really sure if it was due to thefts or security purposes. I was looking to buy some chime candles but they were out of stock. Other items seemed okay but nothing really jumped out at you to really want you to make a purchase.

Small little shop with lots of neat things. We got a skull, t-shirt and voodoo doll. No photos or facetime allowed which was fine with us.
