The Ogle cabin is one of several historic structures in the Cade's Cove region. The buildings are well preserved and there are flyers available to describe the history from the 1820s.

Stopped on a morning jog on the Gatlinburg Trail early in the morning and could imagine life in Gatlinburg's first log cabin moved here for our education.

We stopped by this little house and it was really interesting. The lady volunteering was very nice and she had lots of facts about the house and family.

I love learning about the past and the people who forged their way West. It is very interesting to walk among the buildings still standing and read their story. Be sure ro pay the 50 cents for the pamphlet.
