Not a great area, but a cool drive by. Recommended only on a sunny day. 875030986jgiofjdpojnfkro3rfjhfo

I was a little hesitant to travel to Bushwick to view this mural collection that our teen wanted to see after reading about the neighborhood having a history of crime. However, that concern was unfounded. We rode the subway to the Jefferson Street station and felt very comfortable walking through this cool, revitalized neighborhood in the middle of the day. Everyone we encountered in the neighborhood was kind and helpful. The murals were amazing! A very cool experience!

This was so worth the 2 mile week from our Airbnb. Breathtaking artwork on a beautiful day. We were so happy we went to see this collective.

Quirky, immersive experience in the neighborhood of Bushwick, Brooklyn. Artists get together and paint multiple murals throughout the neighborhood periodically. Due to COVID, it had been a couple years since a refresh, but they recently created many new paintings/murals. You can walk for a few hours, perusing the colorful walls, with something to meet everyone’s aesthetic.

Lots of restaurants around with outdoor dining too. I had Mediterranean, but there are tons of authentic Latin/Mexican restaurants around (Bushwick has a huge Latin/Hispanic/Mexican population).

Pics speak louder than words for this particular experience.

I went today to see the new pieces. I’ll probably go back again tomorrow to make sure I didn’t miss anything.

Took the L train from 14th St in Manhattan to Jefferson St. The street art is easy to find all around this station bounded by Starr, Troutman, Wyckoff, Flushing & Irving making for a good walkabout. Also good to stop at the Taco Factory and the Brewery. Back on the subway it's then just quick ride to Bedford Ave in Williamsburg for another good walkabout. Love the street art and it would have been fun to have been on a tour that included some food stops too. Maybe next time as the art work does change.

Our first visit to Brooklyn to explore its art and history. The street art was high on our list of things to see and experience! It was amazing to see the murals on building after building, block after block. And on trucks and other vehicles too! This is a great activity if you are looking for a COVID-safe environment, a free activity, and something that you can spend as much or as little time as you have available.

In a COVID world, outdoor art > indoor art. We skipped the usual museums and decided to make the trek to Brooklyn to enjoy some outdoor art.

We took the L train and stopped at Jefferson. The colors of the art started popping as we were walking up the stairs to the street. It seemed like there were murals everywhere we walked. We spent 2 hours walking around and didn’t see everything.

The most obvious piece was by STIK (from London) who had a piece on the top of a building. It seems like artists come once a year to create their art so the art will be different each year.

Bushwick is gentrifying but there are still light manufacturing shops here and there so we had to be careful of dust and noise. But enough restaurants and bars have opened so that we had a large choice of food options (we came during a weekday so it wasn’t too busy). We had lunch at the Rookery which had a very pleasant patio and the food was excellent.

All in all, this is a must see for anyone that enjoys street art.

I lived in NY for almost nine years. I spent 3 of those years in and near Bushwick, yet I never walked around enough to see all the beauty and artistry that is Bushwick. My boyfriend surprised me with a walking tour (not sure which company).

The energy, the people, the art, the culture...all portrayed through the colors and canvas that is Bushwick. So much artistry in a few short blocks. The collection is a must for those who love street art, or art in general.

The art is constantly changing so what you see today may not be here next year. The best part is as you walk and wander, you see artists at work and if you stay long enough you see the art come to life.

This needs to be on your to-do list when in NYC. My friends an I usually start at Bogart street and walk around to explore the different art around the neighbourhood. The area of Bushwick is quite hipster and there are lots of cute places around. The art is honestly mindblowing - you can end up spending hours walking around this area.
