Very interesting tour and wonderful guide. Really enjoyed the fact that Frida grew up in the community and continually demonstrated respect, while trying to present a balanced overview. Highly recommend for those who want to learn more about Hasidim in this area of Brooklyn. The...More

This is the fourth year we've spent Christmas in New York but our first time to stay in Brooklyn. Consequently, I was on the lookout for interesting things to do in that borough. The tour of Hasidic Williamsburg with Frieda far exceeded our expectations and...More

This tour was amazing. Frieda is bright, engaging and a gifted tour guide. On top of this she was generous and open in sharing her own experiences and knowledge not only during the tour but before and after. Hasidic Williamsburg is a fascinating community and...More

We toured the Hasidic community of Williamsburg with Frieda on Christmas Day and I can't think of a better way to celebrate. It felt like we were walking with a friend -- who easily and eloquently described the day to day life in this community,...More

I've done wonderful walking tours in London, York, Paris, and Reykjavik led by knowledgeable and affable tour guides. This tour outdid them all. Frieda was wonderful for so many reasons: a) as a former member of the Hasidic community, she knows her subject deeply, intimately;...More

I am so glad I decided to take Frieda’s tour. Frieda was really friendly and open to any questions, while giving us a balanced view of the Hasidic community. Even though she left the community, there was no negativity or bitterness in the tour. Rather,...More

Our tour was amazing. Even though it was rainy outside, none of us even knew we were wet because Frieda held our attention. We were a group of four and were all amazed at how much we learned. The refrain from our group was "I...More

Frieda's Brooklyn Walking Tour was just everything I'd hoped it would be! I had tried on several occasions through the year to find time to book a date, and sure enough...right before Chanukah ( The beautiful Jewish Festival of Lights), I was able to get...More

Frieda led a wonderfully informative and warm tour. I think it's so special that Frieda is doing this, because without her, this opportunity to learn more about the Satmar community in such a nuanced, personal, and immediate way might not exist at all. I loved...More

The only time we really sat was in the Restaurant at the end of the tour. If washroom is an issue there were not any stops where we had washroom facilities!
