This is a great museum that tells you what it was like for the townsfolk. Our guide was wonderful. She made our visit super fun. A true story teller. One of our favorite visits so far.

Mr. Chris was extremely knowledgeable and a fun guide. I enjoyed the tour because it was a civilian house.

The Shriver house tour was great. The tour was amazing, who would have thought that the civilians would have suffered that much. They are a must go to when looking at finding things to do when you are there.

The Shriver house is very interesting. The docent told us about the Shriver family and the town during the battle and afterward. The battle was 3 days but the impact on the town and everyone that lived in Gettysburg lasted much longer. Knowing the details...More

Very interesting and informative tour. Our tour guide was dressed in period clothing. The tour tells the sad tale of the Shriver Family left behind to fend for themselves in Gettysburg. I loved it. I am much more interested in the human experience than the...More

This short tour (approximately half hour) was led by a guide in period clothing, which added to the experience in my opinion. Start by walking through the narrow alley adjacent to the house to the garden, and view the bulletholes in the building along the...More

This is a house that was vacant and then restored back to the way it was during the battle. We found the exhibits in the area next door as interesting as the house. The guide did a good job explaining the history of what happened...More

There is except for the attic. It isn't very strong, so if it's an especially warm day, be prepared.
