We took a standard ranger led tour of the Soldiers National Cemetery. It lasted about an hour. The walking was easy. The ranger explained why the cemetery was established. Who is buried there and why. He also told the story of 8 separate soldiers who...More

A good place to stroll quietly and reflect on such a gruesome war. Especially impactful are so many unnamed soldiers.

So many and so young. Finally a place of peace after the horrors of war. Like many cemeteries............what a waste!

A great place to reflect on the sacrifice that many have made so we can enjoy our freedom. A truly humbling experience.

There are dozens of statues in the huge cemetery. Information at the information center is excellent in telling about the battles in and around the area.

The cemetery is peaceful and has some very moving monuments inside its gates. Definitely go to pay your respects and see some important historic sites!

While visiting Gettysburg and the National Park, we also saw the Gettysburg National Cemetary. As I said in my review of the Battlfield, etc., this is another must see. There are not enough superlatives to properly describe the Cemetary.

Gettysburg Museum was really good and should be seen first as we did. It's $14 for adults which gets you the movie, cyclorama and museum collection. The park is free and there are so many monuments to stop and see. Plan on a... More
