    Lovely tribute
Very calm and peaceful area. Clean, well spaced and not crowded. A classy memorial that is beautifully simplistic. Definitely worth going to, the museum staff around the memorial are very friendly and able to answer questions. The survivor tree is something to look out for.

    Stop And Remember
I would recommend a visit to the World Trade Center Memorial Foundation on a visit to New York City. I think it's important to remember this tragic event in the history of the USA and that this should never happen again. On the site of the two towers there are now two huge fountains with water pouring into the holes and further below. Around the edge of the fountains are the names of the people who died during the terrorist attacks in 2001. When I visited the area was quite busy and over all people were being respectful about the memorial. Please be kind to one another so that there is more love in the world.

    I cried. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
My wife and were visiting NYC December 22, 2023 to January 1, 2024. We were staying in the midtown area, but one thing we had to do was visit the site of the tragedy of 9-11. We had been to this spot in 2008. Back then there was a huge hole in the ground with construction equipment and workers all over at the bottom. There was a temporary constructed walkway around the hole at that time. We talked with several people who had been there when it happened. It was emotional then, back in 2008. So now on Christmas Eve day, 2023 we were back. The memorial pools are so beautifully done as is the park setting around it. I don't know about others, but I enjoyed being here to see this while at the same time crying for all those lives lost. The horror of the aftermath, the dedication of the heroes who died trying to save lives and those who survived to tell their stories. Everyone should plan to make a pilgrimage here at least once in their lives. I believe the emotions it brings forth by just being here to experience it will make you want to reach out to friends and promote peace for the rest of your life.

    Worth a visit!!
We visited this on March 7th and were blown away by it. We done the museum and it is a very eerie feeling down there. Knowing what happened that day and the lives lost. Listening back to family audio of loved ones who were lost in this tragedy. The overall experience is worth visiting and you can spend hours on end here, listening to the audio alone is heartbreaking. Definitely worth a visit

    Must see place
One of the most iconic buildings not only in NY but all over this world ! No 1 place to visit when in NY .. so much of history and so many emotions behind this building . This is the iconic symbol of New York and very easily accessible with public transportation.. Path train from Newark stops just next to WTC . There is also a museum outside the tower which is very expensive . About 33-36$ entry tickets. Wish they made it a little cheaper for everyone to see and learn all stories of this wonderful place . Couldn’t locate many restrooms but I’m sure there are few . Parking is very ever expensive all around this place . We parked few blocks away.. can go here any number of times to witness this beauty . Just love this place .

    Worth the trip!
Planned a trip to New York in March and one of the main things I wanted to do was visit here, and it was truly amazing. This is something that we will always remember and the memorial for all those was emotional. As I was walking around I was remembering where I was on that day and when I first heard about it. All those years ago and it still doesn’t feel that long ago. Anyone taking a trip to New York should definately go and take a look around.

    Tasteful tribute
I grew up in Jersey and watched the twin towers being built. 9/11 left a hole in my heart. The fact that they left the foot print and made a memorial fills the hole. This is so well done. I actually cried visiting this for the first time. A tasteful tribute. I’m sad and satisfied at the same time. Highly recommended!

These have been done tastefully they even have security all around to ensure Boone is doing any graffiti. As if anyone can even think about doing that ;(. The names are all in sections and you can put a flower on a loved ones names. So peaceful and beautifully done.

Visited this site on our US trip with SOTC group. This is a memorial and museum in New York City commemorating the September 11, 2001 attacks, which killed almost 3,000 people. The memorial is located at the World Trade Center site, the former location of the Twin Towers that were destroyed during the September 11 attacks. The World Trade Center Memorial Foundation was renamed the National September 11 Memorial & Museum in 2007. The names of victims are inscribed on bronze parapets on the memorial pools and are arranged according to relationships—proximity at the time of the attacks. All names are created with Optima typeface for a "balanced appearance.

This was a must on our list whilst in New York. We wanted to pay our respects and remember all those who lost their lives during the horrific act of terrorism. This memorial has been built so beautifully, with the water running through the middle it draws you in, whilst looking at all the names etched into the granite surrounding the 2 large areas where the towers once stood. It was emotional and to see so many names of those lost, bought sad memories of that day and many tears were shed. A sad but beautiful memorial to all those who sadly lost their lives. X

I found the experience different to what I expected. People I've spoken to describe the area and silent and not a soul speaks but I didn't find that, if anything I saw it as full of life and stubborn to survive on despite the horrors of 9/11.

The trees were turning colour and by the time we got there the sun was slowly setting. The survivors tree stands in the middle and it is just beautiful.

I felt like it was a fitting tribute to all those who lost their lives but also gave thanks to all those who came together as a community to help and support during the collapse of the towers and afterwards.

A must see if you're a tourist.

You simply can’t go to New York without a visit to the World Trade Center Memorial. I went yesterday while in Manhattan for a few days. It’s really well done and pays homage in a respectful and honorable way. The names of those lost are cut into the steel trim around the fountains. Seeing the names and running your hands over the names. You realize these are real people, not just a number. The two bottomless fountains are mesmerizing. The city should be applauded for how well done the memorial is. I would just add to please show respect while there. I saw people taking pictures and selfies in particular that weren’t very respectful. Some people who were taking the pics weren’t alive on 9/11. For those of us connected to it, it’s a solemn place.

CLOSE TO EVERYTHING! And with a great shopping mall at the metro station that bears the same name as the twin towers.
There is a 9/11 memorial museum, I recommend buying tickets online as they are cheaper.
The two "towers" that are now fountains are close together and contain the names of all the victims identified in the attack.

This is a very solemn and moving memorial. I was surprised that it has an 'opening' and 'closing' time - I thought you could walk up to it at anytime, but the fact that it is secured at night does mean it can be well looked after.

My only irritation - the number of people trying to pose for their 'instagram perfect' pictures and selfies. The selfishness and narcissim of some people knows no bounds. You should visit the museum while here too.

The two ponds are a beautiful way to remember the lives lost during this horrific event. I found that the view at night was even more spectacular than during the day as the lights bounced off the water as well as illuminated the area. It's a peaceful and lovely piece of art.

Beautiful memorial, obviously very sad. Was quite chilling just standing there. Would definitely recommend a visit. Did find it rather disrespectful when people were laughing and taking selfies, one even tried to stand on the memorial to get a better shot. By all means take photos, we did, but have a little respect. Bought a really good book from one of the stands here too and all the money they make goes to the museum and memorial.

The way this memorial is set gives you a feeling of peace and aesthetic. The idea of water flowing down the middle (dark) part is also pleasant .... this is the first glance and impression.
As you come close, you start to read names. Many many names. And you start to sort of meditate. Behind name you are reading is a person like you or a like dear one to you, who went to work in the morning and never came back! Next name is the same. The whole raw is the same. The entire wall !!! So many people just disappeared.
Then the water disappearing in this black hole in the middle gets a different meaning in this context.
I was really touched.
