Neighbourhood: Nolita
Despite being just off of busy Houston Street, Nolita maintains a low-key vibe that makes it a pleasant retreat in the heart of lower Manhattan. Short for “North of Little Italy,” Nolita was once considered to be part of Little Italy. Today, the neighbourhood is popular with young fashionistas popping in and out of the chic independent boutiques that line Mulberry, Mott and Elizabeth Streets. In addition to shopping, there are cozy restaurants and sidewalk cafes serving everything from new-school Italian food to the world-famous cronuts. While small in size (Nolita stretches just a few blocks in each direction), it’s a great neighbourhood to spend an afternoon people watching, window-shopping, and grabbing a bite to eat.

    Must do
My friend heard about this, and it was never on my radar as someone who grew up in the area. The tour was amazing! Tommy was the best guide… Ever! Learned so much. My uncle was an altar boy here in the 40s and never knew about this history.great tour to kick off other sites and little Italy

Beautiful cathedral and statue of Saint Padre Pio listening to a confession
This is a beautiful Cathedral and worth a visit. It has a beautiful altar, stained glass windows and paintings. If you visit, be sure to look near the side entrance at the large statue of Saint Padre Pio sitting and listening to confessions. There is a block on the other side of the “confessional” statue where a person can sit. Unfortunately, it was behind a locked gate, but you can still view it through the gate.

The most beautiful cathedral in the world
By far the most beautiful cathedral in the world. You cannot find a more perfect mix anywhere in the world. It’s in “the concrete jungle” that we call NYC, yet it kept a classic, gentle, historic feel to it. The stained glass (as an artist) is absolutely stunning. The details inside are incredible. Must see location for sure!

Our group took a tour of the catacombs, which was led by Leslie. She is a gifted teacher/speaker/guide. We were all dazzled by the history of the site. She entertains while educating.

St.Patrick's Cathedral is worth visiting. The stained glass windows are very nice. It's a nice stop if you are in the area.

We loved this short tour. The history of the cathedral was incredibly interesting especially being Irish. Our tour guide was fantastic and very informative. Lots of interesting facts and knowing that there are still some space available if you can afford it. Recommend this off the track tour.

Absolutely breathtaking. Went inside to light candles. Catacombs on the side of the church. So glad I was able to visit the church.

A great experience and history lesson. It was awesome to re-watch Gangs of New York and hear about what happened on the streets around the basilica

Love the flowers on the steps, so welcoming and the open doors and how we could just sit and be in peace in this place. I have seen the little tour on Fox, was interesting to be inside.
