Neighbourhood: Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

Billy Joel at Madison Square Gardens
We came from the UK to NYC and managed to get Billy Joel tickets on my 40th Birthday. Getting into the arena was a bit of disorganised chaos, but we had good seats and his performance was amazing!!! However drinks and snacks were incredibly expensive, a beer and packet of Twizzlers for $26!!! A great experience overall…

    Lionel Richie Concert was great!
I attended Madison Square Garden for a Lionel Richie and Earth, Wind, and Fire concert and it was great. I managed to get good seats near the floor and it was great. The venue is amazing. Pretty much every seat has a nice view of the stage. There are many restaurants and bars for food and drinks and everything is organized well. It was busy getting out, but, Penn station is right next to the garden so it was easy to get home back to Long Island. Overall I highly recommend seeing a concert here or a basketball or hockey game.

My life goal was finally achieved!!
I know all motivational speakers say to follow your dreams and never give up but one of my major dreams was to come to a show here but I was very broke for a long time and they have strict security so it’s very hard to break in!! I happened to be born in 2003 and then this year I turned 20 and I asked my mom to make my life dream come true and she did!! I went here last night with my dad to see Patti Smith and the National and it was very fun!! I had to go up five flights of escalators to get to my seat which shows how big the arena is and then I was in a fancy section with plexiglass!! I could see the band well and it was a vibe!! The lady who was selling the beers was nice and may have secretly known about my obsession so she gave me free lemonade!! I hopefully will be back many times in the future!!

Billy Joel Show#94 Madison Square Gardens
This was our second visit to MSG and Billy Joel was amazing! The seats were in Section 104 Row 15 Seat 19 & 20 and we had a great view. The staff are so helpful. There are multiple food and drink options available. Easy in and out of the building with access to trains. It was a great evening.

    Queen rocked the Garden
First time at MSG for a Queen concert. First off, Queen rocked the house, amazing show, one of best I’ve ever seen! In terms of the arena, it was humbling to be at such a storied place for sure. While the building was a bit dated in some regards, it still was nice - seats were comfortable, sound was good, facilities were clean, staff was helpful and friendly. One downside, drinks were very overpriced. Got two mixed drinks, no prices posted, cost me $50 with the tip. A bit steep even for the city! There is a lot of work going on (construction) outside so finding the right entrance and line to get in was a bit confusing. But there were people around trying to direct people to the right place. Leaving took forever as you have to herd down escalators turned off (so basically stairs) winding down several flights. Seemed much tighter and packed than other arenas we have been to. But all in all, we will consider coming back for a show in the future.

What an amazing space to visit and watch an event at.
What a stadium!! It’s vast and beautiful with great seating and 360° views. I don’t think there is a seat you could pick that wouldn’t give you greater clear views of whatever it is you are going to see there. We watched the Nicks play and it was a fantastic experience! Hot dogs were mega too!!!!

    Overpriced drinks
My experience with Madison square on UFC 295 is great, entertainment on highest level of the world. but drinks prices on bar are insulting highest. 4 small cocktails and one beer cost me 125 dollars. one single drink cost 20-25 dollars

Quite possibly true: “The World's Most Famous Arena”!
'MSG' is an historical, hauntingly beautiful, legendary, and timeless venue. Whether you can make it in for a sporting event (Rangers? Knickerbockers?!? other), live music (Phish anyone?), or other event, you should. You are etching your own wee scratch into the annals of history. "Caveat emptor" - scalpers do still lurk around the gardens' outskirts; DO NOT fall for it. My buddy and I almost jumped at "2 floors for $200 each" as we were champing at the bit to get into our first night of the Phish. Luckily intuition told us "no", only to be confirmed by our box-office helper saying, "No paper tickets are submitted here anymore". Do not buy paper tickets.

    Go Knicks
Have wanted to visit Madison Square Garden for the longest time. Our visit was to watch the Christmas Day New York Knicks Basketball vs Milwaukee Bucks. What an amazing experience. Do not hesitate to book tickets (they can be a little pricey, but the experience is so worth it) worth doing at least once in your lifetime. You don’t have to be court side, the tickets further up are great, you can see the whole court and there are monitors for the smaller details. The crowd interaction is something I haven’t seen before. It was such a great experience from start to finish.

    Billy Joel!!
What a dream to come here. We came to see Billy Joel for his 98th show and it was truly life changing. The staff at MSG were extremely efficient and we went through security very quickly. The merch line wasn’t long which was down to the friendly staff who were running it in a well organised fashion.

Saw Billy Joel at MSG in April 2024. Billy Joel is 11 out of 10 stars! He is the best! The venue at Madison Square Garden is a more of 3 out of 5 stars for me. We were in the upper bowl and the view was good and the sound excellent. We could easily see everything. The seats were exceptionally tight and small. There was minimal leg room. I go to a fair amount of concerts and the space felt tighter than other places I have been. What I really didn't love was the process of exiting the venue. It is always hard to exit an event because everyone is leaving at the same time, but this just felt very tight. I kept thinking how much trouble we would be in if there was an actual emergency and needed to exit. The escalators all died, so we took the side stairs and it was just cramped, slow, and not efficient. Maybe if it was an emergency we would have been faster, but it just freaked me out how bad it was trying to exit!

Sat on the Bridge for the first time. Good sound and no one able to stand in front blocking our view. Telemonitors were small so not best view. Always a slow exit with the stairwells

My wife and I watched a Billy Joel
concert here in April 2024. We had to sit in separate places - I sat in the 300 level and my wife sat near the stage. The concert was awesome and Billy Joel sang many of my favorite songs. The view and acoustics were great. Finally near the box office, we saw Billy Joel’s piano. There are only three more Billy Joel concerts left at MSG (May, June, July) so I am glad we got to see it.

Legendary sports arena. Came here to watch Depeche Mode in April 2023. Since the tour wasn't stopping in Minneapolis, we had to find a location to catch them while they toured the US. Chose NYC and Madison Square Garden given the legendary reputation of the stadium and it did not disappoint. Able to obtain floor seats which made for an incredible experience. Well organized venue with plenty of bars with short waits for drinks and plenty of bathrooms.

Watched Knicks V Pistons. Another great game at the garden. Everyone around us had fun.
Regarding the venue I found the member of staff calling people through the security scanner to be extremely condescending. He appeared to be annoying several people with his power crazy attitude. He was calling people through and then shouting at them to go back and wait until he calls them. An embarrassing idiot. Please don’t start what should be a great evening with people like this unwelcoming people in. I would suggest that he’s in the wrong job.

It is a theater located in New York City's Madison Square Garden (MSG). It seats between 2,000 and 5,600 and is used for concerts, shows, sports, meetings, and other events. It is located directly above Penn Station and beneath (Yup, beneath) the main Madison Square Garden arena that hosts MSG's larger events.

We were here for Zakir Khan Show on 17 March and what a show it was by Sakht Launda..!! We were there 1 hour before show time, so it was pretty easy to enter, easy security check-in, check out your Section (not seat no), and follow the directions and you are good to go.

Entrance Could be tricky as it's different for each event. we entered from 32nd & 7th Ave... sometimes there is a direct entry on Aisla A, B,C, D. so reach there well in advance to avoid the crowd and enter peacefully, as some folks were entering even after 45 minutes

With the last row a mere 177 feet from center stage, every seat in the house ensures an intimate experience.

Did not buy beer or anything (usually charging you $15-20 bucks for 12 oz beer).
Seat is let's say- it was okay... not good, not bad... but if any tall person sits in front of you, your view will be blocked for sure.
sound system- it was good as it was a comedy show, I did not face any issue hearing despite I was in section 302.

As a theater-wise experience - it's 3/5.

Fact: Over the years, the theater has gone through a variety of name changes; from “the Paramount Theater,” the “WaMu Theater at Madison Square Garden,” to “The Theater at Madison Square Garden, and finally in 2018, Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden. It’s a must-stop for tourists and locals alike!

Would highly recommend going to watch the Knick’s or Rangers here. We watched the rangers on a Saturday night and absolutely loved it. The atmosphere is great it’s so fun soaking it all in. People around us were great. Good selection of food and drinks. This was our favourite thing we did the whole time in NY.

Went and saw a NY Knicks game here. Booking smooth although stadium was sold out, security was efficient, friendly and processed attendees with care and speed. Had a cheap ticket so up the back but appreciate fit TVs to allow you to relive the great moment of basketball. Note the escalators are tuned off when game finishes to be prepared to walk down white a few flights to exit!

I had a really great time here watching the rangers. I would highly recommend this venue. I was slightly worried that I would have a bad seat as I got one of the cheap seats. Although it was high up, it was a great view. The people working there were very friendly. The only small issue was that it cost (including tip) 20 dollars for a can of cider. Overall, it was a great experience.
