About
This bold, beehive-looking structure is one of the most iconic buildings in Midtown Manhattan and the centerpiece of Hudson Yards. This spiral staircase has 154 interconnecting flights of stairs, and together with its reflective copper metal exterior, creates a surreal appearance and unique photo op. It also offers amazing views of the city and river from different vantage points. Although the upper floors are currently closed to the public, you can access the ground level for free. It's a great stop to make if you're heading to Bella Abzug Park, or on a tour of Hudson Yards and The High Line. – Tripadvisor

    Good for Instagram
Can’t really comment on it as an experience or what it’s like to go inside as it’s been closed every time I’ve visited. However it is great to look at from the outside, it’s a fantastic sculpture to look at and is very popular for instagram photos. Hudson Yards in general is worth a visit for The Edge and the Shops, so makes sense to take a look at the Vessel while you’re there.

    Amazing Vessel
The Vessel is an incredible work of art! It is a spiral staircase and its bronze colour makes it look even more amazing. It is located in the area called Hudson Yards. We walked a long distance to get to it but we could not climb up as it was closed! We could only enter the ground floor! Still the whole thing was absolutely spectacular, and worth a visit.

    Amazing vessel !
Amazing structure. I was here with my hubby last 2018 and was able to up and down the vessel. Too bad wasn’t able to go up this time because it was temporarily closed, but was still able to enter only the ground floor. Took a lot of pictures. Very Instagrammable.

    Cool building
Very cool structure. You can go into the bottom and look up but can’t go up to the top as sadly it’s closed due to suicide attempts. Very unique structure, and worth having a look after doing another tourist thing in the area 👍

    A Very Unique Design
I first saw the Vessel when passing on one of the ferries! Later on in the week we was having a walk on the High Line and came across the Vessel! Sadly it wasn’t possible to go up but I felt like the futuristic looking design fitted so well into its surroundings! Great to see!

    Beautiful structure
What a shame that this amazing structure/building has been temporarily closed. They are currently looking at ways to enclose the structure without compromising the beauty of it. Still it is fascinating to see and you can go inside to look up through the structure with its shiny copper exterior

    Layered Up
I walked from the Meatpacking District along the High Line and came to Hudson Yards which is a fancy shopping center. Also there is the Vessel which is an attractive and unusual piece of architecture. Unfortunately on the day I visited it was shut but the gift shop was open which meant I could get a souvenir of my visit. Most unique.

    Stunning and worth a visit
Amazing views from outside and on the vessel. Please type to see nearby too in the Edge with shops and cafes. We walked on the High Line to Chelsea Market too which start right here - such a lovey way to see the city

    Very cool
The Vessel is a very cool monument in Hudson Yards right at the end of the High Line. Unfortunately, you can’t go to the top, but the view from the bottom is very cool. There are always clouds of people surround the Vessel, but I still recommend visiting.

I’ve been looking forward to climbing The Vessel for months. It truly is an amazing structure. Sad to find it closed because of jumpers. Still is an incredible piece of architectural art. Worth a visit. I will be back to climb it eventually.

Definitely something you want to see if visiting. It's become an iconic structure in Manhattan. It has a few nicknames that people call it, but it's an architectural marvel for sure. You can't go up any farther than the base, due to unfortunate circumstances. On some evenings it's also lit up, so it's good to go see at any time. The plaza is busy, as shopping and the Edge exhibit is next door. It's just a few steps from the subway, so easy to get there.

Good spot.. PROs - fantastic architecture , photogenic place ..
CONS.- closed for public to enter inside , not many good places to eat around .

THE VESSEL has become one of the iconic buildings in New York . They just recently built this but because of its amazing architecture , this has become a photographers paradise . It has almost become one of the MUST SEE places in New York .. it is also next to Hudson yards EDGE , which is yet another To-Do place .. it is a bit expensive though. Vessel is temporary closed to enter though. Wish we had a chance to see it from inside . I heard it is really colorful during Christmas time .

Not many eateries around except a few food carts which are super duper expensive and tastes average .. there is a mall next door but I didn’t see many eateries in there . There is a coffee shop though and also a Starbucks close by. Loved the open theater setup at the rear and loved those seats . Very comfortable . Parking is a bit tricky . We had to park few blocks away . Do not park anywhere closer to vessel . There is also a train station next door for anyone using public transportation. Overall loved this place ..

During our trip to New York, we had the chance to visit the Vessel, a fascinating attraction located on the west side of Manhattan.

The Vessel is a striking architectural structure that also serves as a centerpiece and public landmark within the Hudson Yards complex.

Since opening to the public, it has become very popular. Its unique design draws many travelers to check it out. The Vessel resembles a beehive from the outside, stands 16 stories tall (approximately 46 meters), and consists of 154 flights of stairs, 2,500 steps, and 80 landings. Visitors can climb to the top for a beautiful view of the west side of the Hudson River.

It's no surprise that people visit this place often; exploring the Vessel was a really cool experience. There are many picturesque spots perfect for photographs that no one should miss.

We had a great time at the Vessel and highly recommend anyone visiting New York stop by.

This is one of the most iconic structures in Midtown Manhattan. I was not allowed to climb up the stairs when I was there, but if I had had a chance, I would have walked through them.

It’s a shame the vessel is closed but it’s still worth a look and you can still get some great pictures. Good place to start your high line walk too

We had been looking forward to seeing the Vessel, and saw this at Christmas, it looked amazing with decorations, as did the shopping centre at Hudson Yards.
