    Beautiful blooms!
Beautiful spring day to go and see all of the blooming flowers and trees. The Shakespeare Garden was absolutely stunning! It was in full bloom of bulbs in April and was truly breathtaking! There are a lot of benches in the park for resting which was perfect for my handicapped dog!

    Massive
Central Park is a beautiful place and it is great that there are parts allocated for people and no dogs allowed. The horse carriages are extremely expensive and we had better time just walking around. Lots of little stands to get drinks, ice creams and hot dogs etc.

    Peaceful and beautiful
We loved Central Park. We didn’t use a horse and carriage as quite $$$ but if you had money a lovely way to explore. We entered from the south and walked to the Dakota building on the edge of the western side, where John Lennon lived and died. Stunning building. Then to the John Lennon memorial. We grabbed a hotdog along the way. So many squirrels, tress in blossom and just quiet and calmness. Stunning historical building all along the edge of the park. Ended at the zoo. It’s huge , we barely saw a quarter of the park. A bike would be good. If good weather a perfect place for a picnic

    Must visit in NYC
We rented a tandem to bike around and stopped at various place near the lake, Bethesda plaza and see the cherry tree blossom. It is very refreshing to see that kind of oasis in a never sleeping city like NYC. Walk, run or bike, but go enjoy!

    Amazing and so big!
We visited Central Park a number of times during our Easter stay and realised just how massive it is. We explored the southern end a few times and it has so many different parts to it. We took a subway to visit the upper part including reservoir. Such contrast to the rest of the city

    April Cherry Blossoms
I went in early April and most of the cherry blossoms were at full bloom and incredibly beautiful. It was my first time in NYC and I decided to reserve a full day to Central Park as it's huge and I wanted to see most of the highlights. I had about 27 stops that I wanted to see, many of which were close together. I started my day at around 10h30am, from Grand Army Plaza area, and ended at around 4h30pm, back to around the same area (I put all the points I wanted to see on a google map and did a loop around the whole park). My favorite highlights were: Bethesda terrace & fountain, sitting by water at Loeb boathouse, seeing all the turtles in the water close to Bow Bridge, Conservatory Water area, The Egyptian Obelisk and Belvedere Castle.

    Calm... Central Park
Central Park does not disappoint. While walking around and thru it for a couple of hours, I can see why New Yorkers love their park! My favorite part was the angel fountain, Bethesda Fountain. There was music being played, the sun was out, the gorgeous fountain was flowing, and it was so calm and serene, even with many people enjoying it. I even saw a bride in her dress, with her groom, having photos taken. My husband loved the Strawberry Fields area in tribute to the late, great, John Lennon. Though outside the park is New York's hustle and bustle, inside the park is a whole different world. Even the squirrels are friendly. It truly is a beautiful place! It's a "must see" to me!

A Serene Escape in the Heart of NYC
Central Park is an oasis of green in the heart of the bustling metropolis of New York City. Strolling through its winding paths and beautiful gardens is a welcome respite from the noise and crowds of the city. The park offers so many activities, including boating, horseback riding, and even ice skating in the winter months. The many fountains, sculptures, and bridges scattered throughout the park make it a photographer's dream. Whether you want to relax and read a book or take a jog around the reservoir, Central Park has something for everyone. It's a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to New York City.

    Bicycle Taxi at Central Park
We took the Taxi bicycle bc we only had a few hours planned for the park. It was $125 for 2 or 3 people for one hour. This does not include the tip. Most of the drivers are foreigners. They try to explain the best they can but just tell them to let you read their folder with pictures. They show you all the sites. If you negotiate with them you can get it lower and they can take you to your hotel or to the closest subway. It’s 2 miles to go around the park. You can walk or rent a bike. They also have Pickleball if your a player.

The best park in the country.
If you’re looking for some green space in the city, there is nothing better. Excellent playgrounds for our friends’ children. Tons of walking paths. Carousel, live music, art, and views. All free. Don’t miss.

Central Park is one of the highlights when visiting New York City. It's an amazing city park both in size and in the variety of things to do and it is beautifully landscaped. The heart of the park is the beautiful Bethesda Terrace with its famous fountain and the wide path that is The Mall. You will find artists, musicians and other street performers here. Other favorite spots include the much-photographed Bow Bridge, the Strawberry Fields memorial to John Lennon, Belvedere Castle for its observation deck, a walk around the Jackie Onassis Reservoir for stunning views, or taking a rowboat out on to The Lake. There is a zoo, playgrounds, an ice-skating rink in the winter, a carousel, a children's story telling program on Saturday mornings, a lake for motorized model boats that you can rent and so much more. You can rent bikes, go on a pedicab tour, or ride in a horse drawn carriage. Best of all, this is a place where you can just get away from the hustle and noise of the metropolis. Go for a walk, picnic on the lawn or sit on a bench and enjoy the sights and sounds of this amazing city park.

With a group of friends on a beautiful day in April.

Walkers: 3 of us love to walk and meandered for a couple of hours through spots you can't get to on wheels (the Ramble, etc.). Almost 6 miles of walking. :) It was beautiful. The cherry trees and flowers were in bloom and there were performers sprinkled throughout.

Non-walkers: 7 took pedi-cab tours. They paid $40 each for an hour+ tour with pickup / drop off at Hotel Edison. Feel free to bargain down to ~ half of what is originally offered. Pay in cash. They had a great time, saw the highlights and got good pictures.

Central Park in the Spring is lovely, all the cherry blossoms and magnolia trees are in flower. In the sunshine the colours are fabulous. Walking through the different areas gives you an uplifting experience, sitting amongst the daffodils and listening to the birds in the middle of the busy city is refreshing.

Sitting by the waters edge and sipping a coffee on a sunny Sunday morning doesn’t get any better than that.

It’s free, and there is no service charge or tax to pay…! 😀

Great experience in the heart of manhattan. Really good way to spend a few hours. Came on 2 occasions over 7 days and didn’t even scratch the surface of all the different areas. If you want to see the most popular areas, filming locations etc, a pedicab tour could be the best option. If you want to explore and be surprised, just pick a random path, there’s so many different routes to walk.

Beautiful park! However, at night it is very dangerous. Girls, don't walk alone, avoid the park at night and early in the morning.

The Central Park is a must-visit. During my spring visit, the park was in full bloom, with the cherry blossom trees lining the pathways in a gorgeous canopy of pink and white petals. Central Park offers an incredible escape from the city's hustle and bustle, from the lake's serene waters to the lush green meadows. Whether you are jogging, biking, or just soaking in the ambience on a park bench, this urban oasis will capture your heart with its natural beauty and cheery blossoms.
