Neighbourhood: Downtown
The largest area of the city, Downtown is rich with historical and iconic sites in Boston. Stroll through one of Boston’s most famous green spaces, the Boston Public Gardens, check out and make way for duckling statues, picnic under a beautiful tree overlooking the pond, and walk over the iconic footbridge where, during summer time, you will catch a swan boat toting children and eager tourists through the pond. Have your camera ready to capture its peaceful beauty in the middle of a bustling city. Continue on through the Gardens and take in some open green space at the Boston Common, where you can spend time throwing a frisbee, sitting on a park bench, or, in the winter time, skating on the frog pond. Head north from the end of the Common to see the golden dome of the State House, and travel through government center to Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall, both a historic and popular destination worth a quick visit for a first time to Boston. Head to Long Wharf to visit the Aquarium, or catch a boat to Charlestown or even Cape Cod.

SO much fun! Super friendly staff and clues were not too easy but not too hard. Definitely a great activity to do in the city. The only thing is that some clues were supposed to be shown for us on a TV in the room, and we were supposed to be alerted to the clues with a doorbell noise, however sometimes the noise wasn't apparent so we may have missed a couple of the clues. Overall, really fun and creative experience!

Escape the Room Boston was a super fun experience that I would 100% recommend! The staff were super friendly and accommodating. My friends and I had 4:20 reservations but we’re running late. The staff was able to accommodate us and still give us the full hour of time no problem. The puzzles themselves were very tricky but doable! With our group of 7, we were able to solve the clock tower with just 3 minutes to spare. It was the perfect activity for a bachelorette party!

We've been barely welcomed, the game master had no clue about what she was doing. Some of the hints were hidden in unusual places (but we were tall so no issues). The game was interrupted a couple of times by the game supervisor (?), who was pretty aggressive with us.
On the plus side, the story was a good one and we were well-supported when we were stuck.

We booked Escape the Room Boston as part of my sister’s bachelorette, and we were really excited to participate. When we got there though, a few minutes after everyone signed in we were told that the equipment in the room wasn’t working and we wouldn’t be able to have the event. At first they offered to have us come back an hour later, but after refreshing the computer the only options for another available room was around 5 hours later, and by that time the bachelorette would be over. It was disappointing because we had to scramble to find something else to do for our trip into Boston. Also, while equipment failures certainly happen, it’s been almost two weeks and we still haven’t received a refund for the tickets we were charged for, which totaled close to $400. We would not recommend Escape the Room Boston.

We love doing escape rooms, and we have been able to play many from the east to the west coast! We chose Escape the Room Boston, as it was very close to our hotel. The staff was so friendly and welcoming! We were a little concerned as the bathroom & waiting area was quite dirty, but our escape adventure was clean! Our three member team enjoyed the challenge of the The Apartment. It was the perfect number of people for this room, as the clues are very sequential and everyone must work together moving forward. Too many people in this room & the majority would not have anything to do! The staff was helpful providing clues when we were obviously stuck, and we were able to escape with plenty of time to spare! Super Fun!!

Definitely an escape room. Overpriced considering there are better options for less and disappointed that the timer ran faster than actual time (they say one hour, we only got 40 minutes despite arriving 20 minutes before our scheduled time). The concept and set is good (for the clock tower), but the puzzles aren’t correlated to the story and makes it confusing to navigate, especially considering how few hints you get even when clearly lost.

Really cool room and nice friendly guide. Lots of clues. Probably better for more than just 2 people but liked every minute of it.

This was a lot of fun. Very challenging. I do recommend when they ask if you want a bell noise or to be yelled "hey, Dude!!. Go with the second one the bell does get to be a bit much after a while. Very helpful giving clues when you get stuck. I highly recommend. Not far from the Historic sites.

I am checking to see if you could take a group of 12-14? We are looking to celebrate with high school seniors next month. Thanks.
Jean,
We can definitely accommodate you!
We have four rooms, three of which takes 10 people, an one of which takes 8. However, if you book a whole room, you can add up to 2 exta people. So a group of 12 can play in one room together, and a group of 13 or 14 you would split between two rooms.
If you head to our website you can see a full schedule of our games and availability.

Yes and no. Escape the room does not have a specific parking spot, but there are many garages nearby. Definitely leave yourself plenty of time though, as traffic and maneuvering the area to find the parking can be a bit tricky.Enjoy!
