Small but full of interesting information. Well arranged exhibits, some interactive. No entrance fee. Stop here before or after visiting the Ether Dome. Both are must sees, especially if you or a family member or friend is employed in the medical field.

This Museum is located in the Massachusetts General Hospital complex and is on Charles Street. It is small. It has exhibits about the history of Mass General Hospital, and certain medical practices and devices pioneered by the hospital. Some of these could be considered mainstream medical practices. There are several interactive exhibits. On the second floor movies are presented in loops. Both are interesting. This is a small museum, but interesting and educational. It is worth a stop if one is in the area or between appointments at the hospital. It is free admission.

As a nurse, I always try and go to medical museums. Such a great experience. It is small, but free, and has a nice variety of displays on the first floor. Very interactive as well with videos and screens you can touch and play around with. But the highlight, without a doubt, was the Ether Dome. Luckily for me it was open that day. The attendant at the front desk gave great directions. It was such a unique experience to be in the space where the first anesthetized procedure was performed. Highly recommend, 5/5!

It is a small, educational museum that explains many medical issues and you can join in some games to know more. Also, there is a small botanical garden on the roof.
