We came for New Year's Day brunch. The menu was a little small but everything we ordered tasted fantastic. The biscuits and gravy were particularly good. The beers were great too. We only had a 90 minute window due to Covid restrictions, but it was plenty of time to eat our food and finish our drinks.

Covid Visit went well. We went inside and had some flights. Wish you could choose what beers you wanted but the flights were pre-determined. With MA covid rules we had to get some apps. The pretzel and pizza were actually pretty good. The service was very attentive. The atmosphere is far different than usual but felt kinda relaxing.

My best friend Bobby and I came to this brewery WITH OUR WIVES *Borat Voice*. But seriously, all jokes aside I came up to Boston last year for a wedding on Block Island and stayed with my friend Bobby. We met in Florida and he's a total Florida kid: good looking, great tan, relishes in a deep piquant nihilism, you know the type. My wife and I were looking for something to do that we could see somewhat of a touristy thing but also just chill and relax. If there's one thing Bobby know how to do is serve up fun on a silver platter. Im dead serious - he makes the candle from Beauty and the Beast look like HG Wells. So he suggested Harpoon Brewery...can I just say our time there was sublime. I mean my wife and I really liked it. The people there were all pleasant and nice and the brewery is actually really well setup, as in the functional design of everything is pleasant. Plenty of room and comfortable but still has that artisanal hipster feel. Also when I say hipster here I don't mean it in the bad Mumford and Sons overtime has a tattoo of a fork or Blanket from The Brave Little Toaster, I mean just like hip. Bobby and me are older now but we love playing Manhunt in bars (Nightcrawlers just isn't practical or safe regardless of whether or not the bar will provide you blankets. And the space is big enough for that kind of carefree tom-foolery. Beer was pretty dang good and they had some cool shirts. I really thought the service was among the best breweries I've ever been to. If you're thinking about checking this place out I'd highly recommend it, I mean if you knew Bobby it's where he'd take you and TRUST me Bobby only takes you to the BEST places I know first hand! You think you wouldn't like going here YEAH right! Trust me you'll love it. Bobby and I aren't going to waste what precious little time we have left on this planet going to a place that sucked. In fact in these days of uncertainty and social isolation I oftentimes think about the sun kissed afternoon I effortlessly drifted through this brewery buzzed on tantalizing bitter IPA's and my best friend and also my wife.

I was at the outdoor beer hall last week. I feel for them during these times of economic hardship, but I don't think they are doing it right. As a brewery, you are supposed to serve fresh beer from a keg. Now they make you pay $7 for a chilled can of beer, without a cup. They are not honest about this when you make a reservation. At $7 a can I prefer my own backyard. Same beer, same atmosphere, more comfortable chairs. If they cannot reuse cups for health reasons, they could provide a beer mug to drink from and take home. That would make the visit a memorable experience.

It was our last night in Boston, and we wanted a local beer. We were glad we chose Harpoon! First, its fairly close to the water, so the walk to the Brewery was pleasant. Second, the beer was good!! We had the porter, with just the right amount of coffee flavor. Service was great, our "beerman" was well educated in the Harpoon beers. We did not try the pretzels, but they looked delicious!
