Old-world brick sidewalks and lighting in a concentrated area. Architecture buffs can have a field day strolling and discovering the 17th, 18th and 19th century townhomes and churches. A plethora of small shops ranging from every day to high-end galleries and shops. Tons of dining choices in all cuisines and price ranges.

The State Capital building here and it is magnificent. But then wander behind it and enjoy the harmonious townhouse architecture in the small neighborhood. Very classy area, all historic preservation.

This is one of the wealthiest and nicest parts of Boston. It has gas lit streets and brick sidewalks. I personally enjoyed walking around and appreciating the architecture. I recommend visiting this neighborhood for a nice walk.
