Great day for a walk today. Had skipped C.I. the past few months due to an extreme lack of mask-wearers. Got there around noon today and would say 75-80% of visitors were masked, which was better. Tons of parking and the paths have been well maintained. Even grabbed lunch at Sully's!…

A long time Boston area resident FINALLY made it to see Castle Island on a beautiful last day of fall. Walked around the castle which was closed. Beautiful views. Well maintained. 96% of people following Covid rules and wearing masks. Lots of families. Couples having picnics with wine! …

The day I visited was super windy. It was a great place for a walk, and looked like a perfect day for kiteboarding. Many people & families out enjoying a mild fall day. Parking was easy & restrooms were open!

Lots to do here. This is where the locals come to hang out and unwind. There is ample parking, but you may have to look around a bit. There is lots of parking all the way around Pleasure Bay on Day Blvd. There is no charge for any parking. For the history-minded, Fort Independence is there, but apparently is not open for public entry. Lots of folks out for fitness, with a full loop around Pleasure Bay. The weather was good while we were there, and there were swimmers in Pleasure Bay. There are two bridges to Boston Harbor from the bay, and it's something to watch the tide come in/go out. There's a single kids' playground. There are benches throughout, but not quite enough of them. There is fishing at all points, and a dedicated fishing pier on the harbor side of the fort. The Conley Terminal port is right smack next door, and you may get to see a huge cargo ship come or go. Logan Airport is right across the harbor, and you can watch the planes come/go. And there's Sullivan's, a local mainstay, providing all manner of drinks and foods at a reasonable price. There are a few tables nearby to sit down at. Great place to visit.…
