If you are visiting Los Alamos or White Rock, you must spend five or ten minutes taking in the view from the Overlook. Look down on the Rio Grande, or look up and down the river to take in the view. This is well worth...More

White Rock Overlook Park is now on my short list of places to take all visitors to the region. Is it affords spectacular views of the Rio Grande far below, the Sangre de Cristo Mountains to the east, and the stunning cliffs and landscape in...More

This view never disappoints, we go there during every visit to Los Alamos! The Rio Grande meanders through the valley with Black Mesa in the distance.

This is a hidden sight - out of White Rock, NM. You can see the valley below - including the Rio Grande River and the Rio Grande Gorge and all around - so pretty and "massive" - the great land of New Mexico.

We stopped by the White Rock Visitors center and a very nice person said we should not miss the view from the overlook. She was so correct and gave us a map to find the spot. Take sometime and enjoy such a great view.
